반지의제왕에 나오는 호빗 나라의 방이면 제격. 방이 얼마나 좁은지 정상적으로 움직일수 없을정도로 방 2개 자리에 방 3개 만든듯. 조식은 인건비를 줄이려 했는지 조리한 음식은 없고 납품받은 음식만 준비. 한마디로 손님의 편의에는 전혀 관심없고 이익 챙기는 목적만 가지고 있는 호텔임. 특히 이상한 점은 이번 여행에 이름 끝에 by happy culture 호텔은 보르도 호텔뿐 아니라 니스에 있는 같은 계열 호텔도 방이 너무 작아 엄청 불편 했음.

The location of this hotel was a pleasant surprise. It’s at the top of the best shopping street in town and it goes all the way to the river. It’s inside an historic building that’s been refurbished resulting in some small and strangely shaped rooms. I booked for only two nights but ended up staying four very comfortably. My room was a single which, unfortunately meant a single bed. Due to the shape of the room it made sense but I think a double up against the wall would have fit easily enough. While I slept well, I’ll check the booking more carefully next time. There was a work desk, luggage rack, open wardrobe, TV, free WiFi and kettle with tea & coffee. There was a delightful view from the opening, full length windows. The washroom was small but efficient. The shower was good, the toiletries good quality and the towels were soft. The receptionists were all lovely and helpful. Breakfast is available onsite for a fee. Complimentary coffee was available all day from the machine in the lobby and, in the morning, pastries were also on offer. I walked everywhere easily, with public transport and many restaurants and shops nearby. This was a great base for my first time in Bordeaux and I would stay here again.

The only downside was the odor in the reception area, which the staff explained has persisted since the most recent renovations. We also noticed it slightly on the second floor and purchased an air freshener to make our stay more comfortable. Over the course of our stay, we grew accustomed to keeping the windows open, which was quite pleasant during this beautiful month of October.

Odeur d’égout désagréable au lobby et dans certaines de nos chambres au deuxième étage. Apparemment que c’est un problème connu en cours d’investigation. Le lobby est très petit mais on y offre café et eau. Aucune zone de débarcadère pour les valises mais stationnement disponible en face de l’hôtel qui doit être réservé et payé par l’intermédiaire de l’hôtel afin de profiter d’un tarif journalier préférentiel. L’hôtel est très bien situé au-dessus du Grand Café où nous avions pris l’habitude de prendre notre déjeuner chaque jour.

Kjempefint sted, nært bra shoppingområde og fine restauranter. Hyggelig personale og god frokost.

Nous sommes restés 3 nuits. Un stationnement est disponible en face de l’hôtel, mais il doit être réservé à l’avance par l’intermédiaire de l’hôtel afin de bénéficier d’un tarif préférentiel. L’établissement est très bien situé pour le tourisme. Les chambres sont bien équipées, avec de grandes fenêtres agréables. Le seul point négatif est l’odeur à la réception : une odeur d’égout qui, selon le personnel, persisterait depuis les dernières rénovations. Nous avons dû acheter un désodorisant pour atténuer l’odeur dans nos chambres au deuxième étage. Durant nos 3 jours de séjour, nous avons pris l’habitude de garder les fenêtres ouvertes, ce qui était agréable en ce beau mois d’octobre.

Not a hotel I would recommend. Room incredibly small for 2 people plus a tiny bathroom. Breakfast area very limited. Left after one night despite a two night booking.

La de I est mignonne mais ma chambre était minuscule et surtout il y avait une odeur épouvantable d’égouts … je suis arrivée à 23:00 .. trop tard pour changer .. même si j’étais au dessus d’un bar et que cette odeur était incommodante ..( le réceptionniste a fait mine de le découvrir ) Petit dej sympa

Excellent location with cheap good breakfast in the cafe one side and equally good value dinner in the restaurant the other Room recently refurbished. Small but comfortable with a good shower. Some road noise.

Room was clean, in the lobby free coffee, tea, hot water. Nice friendly staff. Very convenient location, walkable everywhere.

Very convenient location. Wouldn’t stay for longer than 2 nights as the rooms are very small. Even though looks like it has been recently renovated, the walls have a lot of marks on them and there is still a lot of old features that need updating (e.g. air con). But for the location it was fine for us.

Super fint hotel meget centralt, morgenmaden var dog lidt skuffende hvis man forventer scramble æg, men udover det var det så fint, store rimelige værelser

Kleines, funktionales Zimmer, etwas hellhörig, hat allerdings nicht gestört. Grundsätzlich sauber, die Zimmerdecke war etwas verstaubt. Das Frühstück war zweckmässig. Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen. Wir können es weiterempfehlen.

Même si la chambre était toute petite, elle était très confortable et surtout l emplacement de l hôtel était top !
