It felt a bit depressing, especially after the walk from the rather neglected car park

This is a really great hotel and excellent value too. My room had a balcony overlooking the marina and the staff were all very welcoming and highly professional. I particularly like the decor in this place - even the corridors are cool. I've stayed in a few Malmaison places and they always give each location a particular character making each one a memorable experience. I checked in quite late and only just made last orders in the restaurant (by a few minutes) but no one tried to hurry me up and they gave me plenty of time to peruse the menu and place my order (Thanks Alfie :-) ). Normally I don't tend to eat in hotel restaurants as they can often be rather uninspiring (captive audience), but the food here is absolutely superb! My rare fillet steak was cooked to perfection and really delicious. The portobello mushrooms were juicy and full of flavour and the truffle parmesan fries were really outstanding. Absolutely full marks to the chefs. This was one of the best dinners I've had in a long time. Wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and you absolutely have to eat in the restaurant. Just Magnificent. Always a lovely room and comfy bed

We had a lovely stay, starting with a warm welcome from the young lady at the desk. We decided to get sandwiches from the bar menu for a late lunch which were really tasty, reasonably priced and of generous size. We had a large, comfortable, quiet room, which meant we slept really well. Overall, another perfect stay. Thank you Malmaison.

A swanky hotel with a fab location, great team and delicious breakfast. The rooms were super clean and comfortable. Very accommodating.

We arrived and were able to check in early. Our double room was compact but, clean and all we needed for the night. Complimentary water would have been nice. Staff were polite and friendly. We know and like the area for a change from staying on the main seafront in town. Easy access to buses and taxis. Lovely comfortable bed and shower.

The staff were great on check in and helpful got us in our room and upgraded us which was a lovely gesture. Unfortunately when we asked to get some food in the bar we told there wasnt any and no snacks were available either, the vending machine wasnt working either then i found a manager and asked about food availability i was told 1045 pm i could get food .... barman didnt know ..... were offered spag bol frm microwave or ham and cheese sandwich opted fo that but only one was avaliable.... had it ,it was toasted , but taste less and definately not worth £9 or £2 for that matter!!! Was diappointed to say the least as there was nowhere open to get any food anywhere and we were hungry as had been out all day . Have been going to mal maison since it was the seattle, like going there as its relaxing and also free parking, never had any problems there wont stop me going back. Staff on check in faultless.

Directions - an email from the hotel said to go across the skywalk from the carpark, but after that there were no further signs. We were lucky to bump into someone from harbour security who told us to look for a gap next to Nando’s

A few things, the bidding for a room upgrade isn’t worth it, The Friday night we couldn’t sleep as the music from the bar down stairs was ridiculous loud and went on till nearly midnight and on both days the cooked breakfast was on the stood on the side for to long and wasn’t overly hot. Staff were really good though ant reception went the extra mile

Fab location, easy access by bus to Brighton centre. Lots of restaurants around on the Boardwalk plus restaurant and bar inside the hotel, so everything is there plus an Asda opposite the marina. Love the deco inside the hotel and lovely rooms!! I would book again! Free parking in the multistorey car park outside the hotel on level 6 so that is a bonus! The view in the breakfast room is amazing especially on a sunny day!!

Excellent stay, didn’t have breakfast as leaving early but had meal night before and whilst I thought was expensive was lovely. Receptionists were helpful Conor was exceptionally good thankyou
