It is located on the mountain, so it has very nice view. But it took almost 20 min drive to the Sorrento downtown. If you have a car, then it can be good choice. And even if you don't have, you can use their shuttle service free.

Nothing to say good ...morning breakfast is so so.... staffs are not so kind...facilities are problem..problem and are far from city center...remember you must have your car

I definitely recommend this property! Family owned and operated SUPER friendly staff! Location amazing shuttle to town all day and walking distance from st Agatha a little town with amazing restaurants amazing breakfast and the view is breathtaking! Loved the owners and they love what they do! The shuttle driver super nice! I would go back just to enjoy the hotel! Get a room with sea views you won’t be disappointed! Amazing bed and bathroom! Amazing sleep very quiet and nature all around!

The Staff were great. The views were amazing. The pool was clean and refreshing. The breakfast was excellent. We also enjoyed the close proximity to a small town that was a 10 minute walk with restaurants. Very enjoyable stay!

The hotel is gorgeous. For us, it was a perfect oasis away from the hustle and bustle of our trip. The view can’t be beat! It is a 15-20 minute car ride from the heart of Sorrento, but there’s a shuttle that you can utilized (but it does end early around 7:30pm). Ubers can get a little pricey, but it was worth it for us to have more comfortable lodging than being closer to the city. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very gracious, helpful, and accommodating. They helped us arrange transportation to our excursions and were responsive to our needs. Breakfast was good too. Just as an FYI, most of the hotel guests are on the older side, and more sensitive to noise. If coming back to Sorrento, we’d stay here again! And hopefully use more of the amenities such as the pool.

Fiquei hospedado 3 dias em Sorrento no Hermitage e achei o hotel ótimo. O Café da manhã é muito bom! As comodidades do hotel com quarto e piscina são limpas e muito bem cuidada. Eles possuem uma van que faz o transfer das 9 às 19:30 para a cidade de hora em hora. Tudo perfeito! Eles tem um recepcionista fantástico que se chama Renato. Uma pessoa maravilhosa!!!

PROS: The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. Breakfast every morning had so many options and was great before going out for the day. We rented a scooter and parking was very convenient. Hotel shuttle every hour was convenient. CONS: AC has to be requested, which isn’t the worst, but very inconvenient when you get back to your room after walking A LOT. Rooms did not come with an iron, which was VERY inconvenient every single day having to go downstairs to iron before getting dressed in your room, it was surprising and annoying TBH. The last shuttle for pickup of the day was 7/7:30PM, which was inconvenient for days that we wanted to do later activities in the city.

What an amazing place to stay and enjoy Sorrento and its coast. Such warm, friendly and helpful staff, went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. Loved the free shuttle to the town, took all the stress out of driving and parking. Thank you so much, would come back in a heart beat.

I am so happy I found this gem just minutes from Sorrento. They have a shuttle that drops and PU to the center whenever you want. The staff is excellent and very friendly. The property is gorgeous and the rooms have an amazing view of mount Vesuvius. There is a village within 5 minutes walking distance. They have shops and great restaurants. We loved the tranquility around the hotel. It really felt like being in Italy.

Staying at the Grand Hotel Hermitage & Villa Romita on the Sorrento Coast feels like stepping into a quieter, more authentic side of Italy—where the views do most of the talking and the hospitality seals the deal. Perched high above the coastline, the hotel delivers absolutely stunning panoramic views of the Gulf of Naples and even Mount Vesuvius on clear days. Waking up to that scenery alone makes the stay worthwhile—it’s the kind of backdrop that doesn’t feel real until you’re standing there.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean the staff very helpful and the shuttle to town very appreciated. The only downside was the bed was very hard like sleeping on concrete.

Belle chambre avec superbe panorama sur le golfe de Naples, le vésuve et la toute la côte jusqu'à Naples. Personnel très agréable et très disponible pour nos moindres questions. Système de navette vers le centre de Sorrente, plusieurs fois par jour, très pratique +++. Petit déjeuner très sympa et restaurant également très bon. Petit sentier jusqu'au village à 5-10 min avec nombreux restaurants et magasins mais village très calme.

Nice hotel in a beautiful setting outside of Sorrento. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice room overlooking the pool and with the sea in the distance. Great breakfast included. There is a restaurant in the hotel but it is a very short walk (10 minutes) to a nearby hill town with a variety of restaurant options. Nice pool (although not heated). On-site parking was available.
