I recently stayed at Hotel Atlantic El Tope and overall had a pleasant experience, especially considering the price and location. The hotel is set slightly uphill, which means you get beautiful views over Puerto de la Cruz and even the ocean from certain rooms and the pool area. The walk back up can be a bit tiring, but taxis are cheap and quick if needed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though a bit dated in terms of decor. Housekeeping was consistent, and I appreciated the balcony space—it really adds to the experience, especially in the evenings. The pool area was one of the highlights. It’s spacious, never felt overcrowded, and offers great views. There’s also a bar nearby, which makes it easy to relax during the day. Food was decent but not exceptional. Breakfast had a good variety, but dinners could feel repetitive after a few days. If you’re staying longer, I’d recommend exploring local restaurants in town for more variety and authentic Canarian food. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay, always willing to assist with directions or general questions. Tips for future travellers: * Request a room with a sea view—it’s worth it. * Be prepared for the uphill walk back to the hotel. * Mix hotel dining with local restaurants for a better food experience. * Great base if you plan to explore northern Tenerife rather than just stay in a resort. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a relaxed stay with great views and good value for money

Huone oli siisti, siistijät siivosivat päivittäin huolellisesti. Remontti oli kesken, joten esim allasalueet tai niiden ympäristö kaipasivat vielä työtä. Remonttiääniä kuului päivisin, mutta se työ tietysti vie hotellin tilannetta koko ajan eteenpäin. Altaiden vesiä ei lämmitetty, meidän vierailun aikaan vesi oli todella kylmää. Vuokra-autolle löytyi kätevästi paikka hotellin pihasta joka päivä.

The rooms are very nice and great view. The feel of lobby and other areas of the hotel are more like an all inclusive. Roof top is spectacular and barely anyone there.

Très bon endroit pour court sejour

This hotel is definitely not 4* as it claims. I found the people at the reception to be unhelpful and sometimes down right rude. When I got the hotel I discovered to my horror that they are renovating on the floor above me with noise of banging and drilling going on for most of the day, the worse thing was that when I booked the hotel on Expedia nowhere did it say that there are any renovations in progress during my stay. The room itself was nice comfortable and clean but the hotel itself was boring, there was some silly entertainment at night and I found the food to be unimaginative, and repetitive. The saving grace to this trip was the glorious weather and beautiful Tenerife. And I would definitely visit Tenerife again. This hotel might be some people's Cup of tea, mine it was absolutely not and would not stay there again even if was free!!

O hotel é muito bom, o café maravilhoso, mas a falta de vagas no estacionamento deixou a desejar. Quando chegava tarde, à noite, não encontrava ligar para o carro e tunha que parar na rua.

The room was clean, modern and spacious. Cleaning staff were quick efficient and left the room tidy and clean.

Room and Amenities were great. Food was also great.

La estancia muy bien, la atención muy bien, la comida muy bien, pero hay alguna incomodidad porque el hotel está en restauración.

The hotel was excellent for a family holiday. Wonderful food and facilities. Modern, clean and friendly. The walk to the centre of town was short and there was a shop very local for any bits extra you need. An absolutely fabulous place to stay. Highly recommended.

Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommmendes Personal. Den schönen Ausblick in Richtung der Playa Martianez vom Balkon bezahlt man durch die Lage des Gebäudes im Hang. Es gibt zwar sogar ein kleines integriertes Fitness-Studio im Keller mit ein paar Geräten, wenn man das möchte, der tägliche mehrmalige Gang über mehrere hundert Stufen von der Stadt hinauf zum Hotel erspart einem das aber eigentlich. Einen der wenigen (etwa 15) Parkplätze auf dem Hotelgelände zu ergattern ist je nach Tageszeit unmöglich bis extrem unwahrscheinlich. Wenn man Pech hat, muss man 15 min Fußweg bergauf entfernt auf einem Parkplatz in Richtung der Stadtgrenze parken, weil die Stadt mit Autos brechend voll ist, außer man landet einen Glückstreffer und es fährt gerade jemand los... In jedem Fall sollte man gut zu Fuß sein ;) Essensangebot bei Frühstück und Abendessen gut und reichhaltig, dort wird sicher jeder Geschmack fündig! Der Speisesaal erinnert von der Atmosphäre leider an eine Mischung von Mensa und Reha, da sehr kahl und laut. Wer auf Schnickschnack steht, hat noch eine Dachterrasse mit Tagesbar und 2 HotTubs, einen Pool im Außenbereich, den genannten Fitnessraum und eine kleine Sauna zur Auswahl. In Gesamtbetrachtung eine solide und gute, zentral gelegene Unterkunft, die den reinen Zweck des Übernachtens (und auch einige Schnickschnack Angebote) gut erfüllt. Die 4 Sterne sind aber nicht angebracht. Dafür erwarte ich mir mehr Qualität in der Einrichtung und Zimmerausstattung.
