Lovely location. Nice resort, though a little dated and some degree of shabbiness. But the food was generally good, service excellent, the room was nice. We enjoyed our time here and would visit again.

Nice place, perfect for swimming and snorkling in the sea.

The photos are VERY misleading. The beach on the property was beautiful. Friendliness was a mixed experience-1-2 very nice, most ambivalent/neutral, one unpleasant type of situation. 2 pools were open; they had lots of green algae growing on the walls. Rooms were extremely dated, but clean enough. The beds were HARD AS ROCKS. The literal hardest mattress I have ever slept on. There was a mini fridge. Nothing to make coffee or tea in the room. Water is 1 euro. It’s a drive to get there. Food was ok. We were on our honeymoon, with plans to go hike the Sumerian gorge the next day, but rerouted to the Kalypso due to its proximity to where we were, because of heavy rains in a sudden storm we got caught in. Roads were unsafe, and it was a place to go for a night while the storm passed. Thankfully we were only there for an afternoon and morning. It would have been a depressing trip if we’d had to stay multiple nights. We’re honestly confused by the positive reviews…

I had a lovely stay here and would come again. I will say that while the property is clean and the staff take care of it, it does need a little lick of paint here and there but overall it is a beautiful location and a true place to relax and recoup. I was disappointed that there wasn't yoga classes as posted, but I was able to book a private class with a teacher, who was great. Booked with their masseuse a few times as she was WONDERFUL (Rose if I remember rightly) Handy swimming pool right outside my room (salt). And a little general store on site which after realizing that Plakias is a 15min drive away, was good to have on hand. Scuba diving in the cove was gorgeous and there was a little spot you could jump straight into the ocean near the main pool. The cove is not the beach however, the walk to the beach is about 20 minutes and up some very steep stairs. The view is amazing, but I'd recommend wearing solid walking shoes as there is loose gravel/rocks and the drop to the ocean is sheer. The entertainment was mediocre to be honest, and the location would benefit from a karaoke night in my opinion. All-inclusive does not include all drinks, beer and wine only. But the food was decent enough to not bother going into the town except for a treat. Great nudist beach nearby in Plakias, with regular beach down the road. Lovely little town.

This must have been an amazing all inclusive resort in the 1950s which appears to be the last time it was repaired. Still has great amenities like pools, scuba, food, yoga and entertainment but the rooms and facilities are pretty rundown and outdated. Still a good deal for the all inclusive stuff available if you can overlook that.

Nous avons séjourné une nuit dans cet hotel resort pour l'expérience et très grosse promotion. Il s'agit d'un très grand complexe hotelier vieillissant. Ce complexe a une localisation exceptionnelle, éloigné de tout, au bord de la mer. Par contre il faut absolument disposer d'une voiture si vous souhaitez visiter les alentours. Accueil agréable et chaleureux. Le complexe manque globalement d'entretien à la fois sur les installations de type bassins, fontaines, végétation, ce qui est fort dommage vu le potentiel. Les chambres sont très mal entretenues et vétustes, rien n'a été changé je pense depuis la construction dans les années 80. Notre chambre était immense mais très peu fonctionnelle. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux et très varié. Le prix payé était dérisoire donc je suis assez satisfaite de notre court séjour mais je comprends parfaitement les commentaires pour des séjours plus longs et au prix fort.

Cadre incroyable et personnel très sympathique.

The pools and outside space are lovely at its very picturesque but the room was very dated and the bathroom was in poor condition with glass slats missing. The air-conditioning is old and struggled to cool the size of room. The shampoo and shower gel dispenser was broken when i contacted reception the receptionist was unhelpful. People smoke everywhere and even an employee who has a room in a no smoking area thinks it ok with children around.

Très déçu, doit se déplacer pour se servir à boire pendant le repas, service trop lent, chambre ok, salle de bain la cata, douche à 20cm des toilettes, propreté à l'abandon avec matelas de plage très sale.... Musique douce le matin et le soir top, Serveur et serveuse sympa et souriant le soir top

Room : 0 cleanliness i had the bungalow room , it was dust everywhere , mini bar looks like it was never clean for years to be honest , the bathroom was quiet okay. Restaurant : the quality of the foods was really poor , there was flies everywhere , you couldn’t identify what was what because there was no sign or no identification. Spa : it was a let down when we walk to the spa to spa table was disgusting, there was no privacy at all my it’s across of the gym , i don’t know should be calm a gym at all , it’s completely empty. Bar : it’s quiet okay they have a good selection of drinks , definitely enjoy it Overall this place have so much potential to be great , the views is amazing , they really have to step up ! the pool is amazing , the bathroom pool not at all they should have someone 24/7 there to keep it cleaning it. The staff is very friendly and helpful they help and told where i should go eat outside of the resort …… they shouldn’t call this place a resort because they have only 1 restaurants beside the view they have nothing to offer lol

Hôtel au milieu de nul part… Le buffet est immonde, le personnel désagréable et les infrastructures décevantes… Si vous aimez les piscines à l’eau salé vous serez servis. Les transats de la plage sont payant d’ailleurs il n’y a aucun sable. Aucune animation aucune activité rien à faire Le all inclusive est pitoyable tout est en extra… A fuire

A part la vue et l’emplacement c’est tout, c’est pas un hôtel à conseiller pour séjourner, juste de passage ça va, loin de tout, pas de navette pour le transfert de l’aéroport, en tout cas ceci n’est pas un 4*

Lovely setting with its own private cove perfect for snorkeling and swimming. Stunning to look at! Rooms are average. Whole place needs a bit of an upgrade.. front desk lady was rude and not helpful at all.. Buffet breakfast is very good, but they seem short staffed so get there early to eat, avoid the crowd and the shortages of certain things. 1 swimming pool is closed, the ‘gym’ is a treadmill, a couple dumbbells and a pull up bar that is falling off the wall (dangerous). $10 to rent an umbrella and 2 sunbeds at the cove.

Muito decepcionante! As fotos não refletem a realidade, o hotel está completamente abandonado. Todos os móveis, instalações estão em péssimas condições e o mais chocante de tudo foi a zona da piscina com placas cortantes e oxidadas no chão , muito perigoso para crianças pequenas. O único consolo é a praia que está ao lado, realmente paradisíaca mas não recomendo que fiquem no hotel.

The location, views, pool, mountains and the see are so beautiful but sadly the food and cleanliness are bad. We even went to the village to eat. The village is near 10m with car.

La posizione è il suo punto di forza, assolutamente unica. La struttura è decisamente di alto livello, sebbene, qua e là sarebbero necessarie molte piccole riparazioni. In Grecia la manutenzione non sanno cosa sia, ma se si accetta questo fatto generale, la struttura è una delle migliori della sua classe. La ristorazione è di alto livello, con molti piatti della cucina greca tutti i giorni. Le piscine sono ottime, con ombrelloni e sdraio gratuiti, e specialmente quella di acqua di mare è sempre pulitissima (le altre due meno). L'accesso al mare è da scogliera, facilitato da almeno tre scalette, e l'acqua è limpidissima e ricchissima di vita sottomarina. Se però si vuole la sabbia, allora non andate su una scogliera, per poi lamentarvi...! Non ha senso.) Una grossa pecca: l'invadente presenza del Diving Center, che fa liberamente usufruire del parcheggio dell'Hotel ai suoi clienti. Non ha senso che i clienti dell'Hotel non trovino nessun posto auto libero, perchè i clienti del diving li hanno occupati tutti (anche se ufficialmente non potrebbero). Altra grossa pecca: l'animazione serale è inesistente. Lo staff di animazione è formato da due persone sole, di cui una si deve occupare di luci e strumentazione tecnica: cosa mai potranno fare? Di spettacoli non se ne parla, al massimo serata-giochi. L'hotel cerca di rimediare ingaggiando personale esterno due volte a settimana per un po' d'intrattenimento in piu', ma non chiamiamola animazione.

Kalypso village is amazing hotel with friendly staff and very unique location! All staff- from cleaning ladies to general manager are lovely and always willing to assist. I never been to the hotel that from first moment you feel like home and all staff like your friends! You can find other nice hotels on the coast but The hospitality that we experienced at Kalypso is something special! We are wishing you all successful season and can’t wait to visit you again!
