If I could give zero stars, I would. I checked into La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Temecula and was immediately met with a nightmare.
The room was unlocked when I arrived — a major safety issue. Inside, it was filthy, smelled bad, and unbearably hot — the AC wasn’t working and it felt like 90+ degrees. On top of that, a dog barked nonstop in the room next door, and no one did anything.
The front desk experience was just as bad. The woman working was rude and dismissive. She threw my keys at me, didn’t offer a pen, and acted like helping me was an inconvenience. When I asked to switch rooms, she insisted I go back upstairs, pack, and return before she’d issue another key — because it was “against policy” to give two. Ridiculous.
I told her the experience was unacceptable, and she just shrugged it off. I left and checked into a different hotel — only to have them deny my refund, even though I never stayed the night.
This place has no standards for cleanliness, safety, or customer service. Management clearly doesn’t care. Avoid at all costs. There are plenty of other hotels in Temecula — do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else.
