Very comfortable bed and a clean room. Staff were nice.

When I booked this motel, I was quoted a price. So it stands to reason that I should have been charged that price. The property charged me almost $80 more and knew that they were charging me over the booking price, didn't even tell me, When I told the owner she was not surprised but was really unhelpful about getting a refund. Also this property is not worth $129 a night plus tax I would not pay that I don't know anybody that really would I have never paid that I've stated this property several times and never have I paid $129 a night plus tax. Even though this is one of my favorite motels in Lakeview I will not be going back because of the underhanded way that they overcharged me. I think I could have overlooked it because Expedia did refund it, but I cannot overlook the fact that they did it without even bringing it up to me and had I not looked at the receipt I would have been out that money and $80 is a lot of money to me. Expedia did make it right after 2 days of unnecessary stress, if I wanted to stress I would have stayed home. I had to chat online with a supervisor in order to get the refund, no option anywhere to speak to a person on the phone only chat, the agent didn't offer for me talk to a supervisor I had to request it. Normally I don't like leaving bad reviews but in this case if you stay at this property check your receipts make sure they're charging you the right price. It was a last-minute decision to stop and stay there. The lady at the desk was friendly smiling did everything she could to make my stay better I get this place two thumbs way up. I’ve stayed here before and I will stay there again 100%.

Absolutely the rudest clerk I ever encountered at a motel. Place looks like a dirt ball.

The stay was fine, room was clean, it could use some maintenance as far as paint on trim and doors. The bed was comfortable. They could use better towels - they were a little thin. Walking distance to restaurant - for breakfast and lunch.

Expedia review Our stay was tremendously disappointing. First of all, I booked 2 rooms each one having double beds through Expedia and when I arrived, the employee gave me my keys but didn’t tell me anything about my rooms. So we when got into the rooms, it was a room with 2 double beds and then a room with one king. When I confronted the employee to get the correct room I paid for and reserved through Expedia, they said it’s one adult and one kid in a bed. They do not get to dictate who sleeps where and there was no helping with this accommodation. Then, the sheets were disgusting. The claim was hard water stains, but this was more than that. Drool stains, and the sheets horribly discolored. I went down to get fresh sheets just for peace of mind to know they were clean, and I was asked me to bring the dirty sheets back down. I said, can you actually please have someone come put the sheets on my beds? I should not have to do this at 9:00 at night. But I was told no because they didn’t have housekeeping there. I also asked for some sort of refund or discount for this highly dissatisfying experience and was told they couldn’t unless we left and went somewhere else. 9 at night with 4 kids after driving for 14 hours. It was a huge disappointment and very frustrating.

For what it was.. it was very expensive.. But, no more that the area.. That being said, When we arrived, the office smelt of curry so badly that, I almost had to cover my nose... The woman who checked is in was friendly enough but.. Her hair was oily and her shirt had oil stains all over it.. But, I wasn't sharing a room with her so, we go the room.. When I went to get into bed I noticed that the sheets looked stained..I called the front desk and was told that they are stained from the high mineral count in the local water..I live in an area that I have to de-scale my shower every 2 months..My sheets aren't stained.. When I took the sheet to the front desk, no one answered the bell.. The laundry room was open so I got another sheet and changed the bed..Breakfast offered was pastery and juice, but with the strong curry smell other issues ..We got breakfast somewhere else..I understand the price but expected more effort for my money

Towels needed to be replaced. They were stained and no longer white. Floors looked clean but when you walked, your feet or slippers became very dirty.

While this is an older facility, it is well kept, clean, the room was plenty big enough. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and pleasant.

Decent room and cleanliness for the money. Nice restaurant across from the motel for breakfast.

I've stayed at this motel many times in the past 10 years or more and it seems to be slowly deteriorating. It's still in fine shape, it's just starting to become noticeable.

Would stay again.

very clean with a modest price

Let me just say that I will never stay at this place again. If it had not been so late and I had not already been charged I would have turned around and gone elsewhere. The place was dirty (white socks turned basically black from the dirt on the floors). The beds are broken down and very uncomfortable. I might as well not have had any pillows they were so small and useless. The bathroom was just as dirty as the rest of the place. They do not clean as they should. The sheets were stained and were just an overall ick type of place. Had I not been in the car driving for over 7 hrs to get there, I would have turned around and gone home or stayed somewhere else. I would never recommend this place to anyone ever.

The hotels water pipes were bad and all we had was yellow/brown water. I first thought it was the toilet that hadn't been flushed all the way because the water was colored with brownish chunks in it. But when I went to take a bath and filled the tub the whole bathwater was yellow and disgusting looking. There was no way I was bathing or brushing my teeth in that!

Relatively clean considering the age and economy of the surrounding area. Running water has some color to it. Please consider investing in some new towels, these were some of the worst ever.

The big sign in front of their motel claims complimentary coffee, juice, and sweet rolls but we were told they’re not serving breakfast because of Covid 19. Come on, it’s June 2024, we’re over it, seems like a cop out.

The surroundings are not attractive, but I did not care. Helps keep the price down. The rooms were fine.

Reasonable

Check-in was easy and efficient. Desk clerk was pleasant and nice. We had 2 one-night stays about a week apart. The first room had a power issue that was quickly fixed by resetting the breaker. The rest of this stay was fine. The second room was on the ground floor and looked like it had been recently refreshed and painted. Bed was comfortable and we slept well. In the morning, we had the door open as we prepared to leave. Don't know if something snuck in while the door was open (hope so), but while we were in the room, something ran from under the dresser to under the bed... we reported the issue to the desk clerk. As we were leaving, they were coming to the room to check and resolve. Having encountered this, we would not choose to stay in a ground floor room again. We understand this is a rural area, but the incident was unsettling.
