An Indian staff made a terrible mistake regarding an extra payment for a rent car without my permission even though I did not rent any cars. It turned out that he misunderstood my asian surname. But he never say sorry, even a single word at all, and seemed very arrogant to me because I am an asian? He ruined the last day of my business trip. I was so disappointed about the French generosity.

Perfect spot to explore and to rest by the pool

Séjour très agréable avec un personnel au petit soin. La localisation est parfaite en centre ville, pensez à réserver votre parking.

Great hotel situated closed to the action but has all the amenities you want! The pool is a wonderful attraction and is ideal for lounging in the sun. Staff are warm and friendly, and willing to help out with anything you need. Stayed for 3 nights in May 2025 and wish I could have stayed longer at this hotel - that’s how much we enjoyed it. Would stay again should I travel back to Aix-en-Provence.

Well run primarily group tour hotel

Beautiful place -- nice room -- comfortable and nicely furnished. Note that most of the hotels we stay in at home include a microwave as well as a fridge. Another note is that the carpet in the room was starting to show some wear -- not bad but needs attention soon. These things wouldn't even be mentioned if the room was 200 euro a night but it was more than twice that rate. I still highly recommend the Grand Hotel. Fantastic breakfast, great staff and a beautiful place.

In our case, my wife and I thought the staff was excellent, the property was very nice, the hotel was very close to the train station, downtown, parks, and cinema. Although my wife and I are multilingual, French is not a language either of us speak, but the staff was accommodating when we tried some simple phrases. In total, it is a hotel I would recommend to someone visiting the area.

Chambre n° 240 à 230 EUR la nuit sans PDJ , soit disant rénovée mais impossible de se connecter au Wi-Fi , pas d'eau chaude dans la douche et pas de pression non plus , pas de porte serviettes , et fenêtre neuve qui ferme mal et donc vos êtes en direct avec les bruits de la rue. Plus jamais ..!

First, the positives. Great location, very clean and well appointed with L'Occitaine toiletries and coffee, etc. Very comfortable bed and room and we had a nice balcony overlooking the pool. The negatives: They have no USB ports in the room to charge your phone, I called the front desk, they said they'd already given all of the chargers out to other guests so I'd have to "go buy one myself" which was disappointing. Had they mentioned no USB ports on their website, I would have brought my own charger! They were doing some kind of construction so there was drilling going on starting at 9am. The website says the pool is heated but it was most definitely not. We had to ask to have our room cleaned at 3:45 in the afternoon and the night before we left, the door handle to the shower room came off in my hand. Overall, not a horrible experience, but it certainly not the 4 star experience we were hoping for.

The hotel was undergoing renovations, which took a little bit of the comfort away. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, the only downside was the lack of air conditioning. We had to keep the windows open all night and the streets were loud…

I did not notice that I was charged for breakfast without my consent. It is my fault not to notice this when they issued my receipt. However, the fundamental cause of this was charging me what I did not use by default. I should have been more careful. I don’t know if this happened on purpose or not, yet they should not do this anyway. For the rest of my experience was good.

We really enjoyed our stay in Aix. The hotel was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful.

A very good hotel in every aspects. And the breakfast was super. But I missed a comfortable chair in the room…
