주인분이 너무 친절하시고 좋았습니다. 아침도 영국식 아침으로 주시는데 너무 맛있게 잘 먹었습니다. 완전 시내 중심은 아니지만 걸어서 멀지는 않고 주택가라서 안전하게 느껴집니다. 전반적으로 청결하고 편안하게 잘 지내다 갑니다. 더불어, 창밖으로 보이는 풍경이 너무 좋아서 조금 돈을 주고서라도 제일 큰 방에 머문 보람이 있습니다. ㅎㅎ

Esme was very welcoming, informative and helpful. The communal kitchen on the ground floor was a great addition with a fridge to store snacks / drinks and cooking facilities if you want to be self-sufficient. The room was bright, big and clean with a great shower and a comfy bed. The large fan provided helped us stay cool. The only drawback to our room at the side of the guesthouse was that the nearby main road is very busy and noisy throughout most of the night it seems - but earplugs were provided so this is a known issue. In cooler weather and with the windows closed, I'm sure it's not a problem. Parking on the streets nearby is not free, but the hotel will register your car onto York's permit system at a cost of £5 per night payable in cash. We'd definitely stay again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beware that single rooms are 4 flights of stairs up although manager helped me moved in. Although breakfast was advertised some places it has NOT been included since Covid. Firms (like Hotels.com) are careless about the accuracy of the details they advertise.

Very pleased with our choice of location for York. Easy walk to city. Moss very friendly and helpful. VG to have use of small kitchen area. Nice large bedroom. £5 a day parking permit on street outside sorted by Moss was super. Thanks

Nice place, easy walking distance into the city and I loved having a fridge and kitchen facilities available - as a regular business traveller, I get SO tired of eating out! Downsides: no lift and some rooms are on the 2nd (3rd to an American) floor; and the road outside has traffic at all hours. Neither bothered me, but I'm reviewing to give others the information. My room was clean and comfortable, I enjoyed being at the top of the building, I appreciated the provision of heater, fan and ironing gear, and having a comfortable chair not just having to sit on the bed. If the stars align, I hope to return.

Mo the owner is very friendly and communicated efficiently with me to allow an earlier check in. He was very helpful and arranged my parking. My room was clean and tidy. The only negative is I was in room G3 which joins the reception and communial area. The walls are very thin so it was quite noisy and the spa like music played until 11pm. Id stay again in another room.

Great location, large room, amazing staff who couldn't do enough for you, Bakery next door if you wanted to get breakfast, guest house has a communal area, fridge and you can help yourself to tea and coffee, Would definitely recommend

The owner of the place overstepped his bounds and made me feel uncomfortable during my stay. The place was nice, but I wouldn't stay there again because of the owner.

Mo is an amazing host who looks after you from the minute you walk in the door! He is welcoming and very helpful and does everything he can to make you feel comfortable. The room was spacious and well equipped but most importantly it was really clean. When we checked in at 11am, Mo made sure that within an hour our room was ready which made our stay more relaxed. We paid just £5 for permitted on-street parking which was reasonable. I would happily stay here again and would do just for how excellent the hosting was!

The hotel owner, Moe is very nice and helpful. He made our stay very comfortable and welcoming. The hotel is on a fairly busy street, but it is outside of the town center so it’s quiet. There is a nice beer garden and a bakery next door. It is also a very short walk to the train station along a leafy path and over a canal bridge. We travel light with only two backpacks so getting there was very easy. You could use a taxi or Uber, the Uber is cheap, about 6-7 USD. Getting to the town is also very straightforward-just walk straight down the main road and you’ll arrive in less than 10 minutes.

A fabulous place to stay in York. So close to everything that we walked everywhere. Our room was lovely with a great view of the pretty neighbourhood. Mo was an exceptional and welcoming host. Highly recommend 😃

Staying at Crescent Guest House feels like staying over at a friends’. Mo is welcoming, kind, and so gracious and helpful. He talked me through the best ways to get around town, and even gave me an annotated map. The room was well kept and tidy, and you can tell the house is well cared for. Definitely worth a stay if you’re ever in York!

Handy bakery next door

We were welcomed by Mo, on our arrival who was very helpful. The room was clean and tidy and excellently laid out. The kitchen access was a real bonus. Everything is in easy walking distance so no need to worry about parking. There’s a small bakery next door which does excellent breakfast food and takeaway lunches. We enjoyed our stay so much we’ve book to come back again same time next year.

チェックインの際に名前を伝えた段階でため息をつかれ、重いスーツケースを部屋まで運んではくれましたがぶつぶつと文句を言われ、まったく歓迎されている感じではありませんでした。 部屋にはデスクとイスがありましたが、イスに座るとぐらついたので、その旨を伝えると午後に外出している間に交換されていました。ですが、そのイスに座るとデスクにちょうどあごが乗るくらいの低いイスでしたので、結局、座ることはありませんでした。3泊しましたが、その間タオルやコーヒーカップも交換してもらえず、毎日フロントまで自分でタオルなどを持っていかなくてはなりませんでした。シャワーの排水口も詰まりかけていた状態で、シャワーする際にはシャワーのお湯が床にたまり、足が浸かっている状態でした。滞在している間はずっとその状況に耐えなくてはなりませんでした。 他のゲストにはにこやかに対応をしている様子でしたので、きちんと対応するゲストと適当に無視するゲストを選んでいたのかもしれません。 二度と滞在したいとは思いませんし。他の人にもおすすめできるゲストハウスではないです。

My Wife and I spent 2 nights here for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. Mo and the team were absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was pleasant and their knowledge of the local area was second to none. Highly recommended and we will definitely book our stay with them whenever we visit York.
