We stayed 8 nights there. Beautiful grounds and room was very comfortable. Nice beds to sleep after long day of hiking. Nice people in the front desk very helpful. Best part of all, they have a parking on site. We didn’t have to look for a parking every day!!!!

Second time staying at the Azoris roGarden

We had a great stay overall. The staff were fantastic - friendly, helpful, and all spoke excellent English. The service was consistently good, and everyone went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We traveled with our 1.5-year-old daughter, and the staff were fantastic with her. They even provided us with a crib, which we really appreciated. The Koi restaurant was excellent, offering good food and a nice variety of dishes for breakfast. However, my girlfriend, who requires a gluten-free diet, found that the gluten-free options were quite limited. As a result, we rarely had lunch or dinner at the restaurant. The facilities were decent enough, but I felt the fitness "center" was lackluster. Consiting of a few basic things such as a row-machine, bi-cycle, and a few threadmills. It also had a cable machine and a few dumbbells. The pools were great though! The hotel itself was clean and well maintained. However, it did show noticeable signs of wear and tear, which made it feel a little dated in places. All in all, if we ever come to visit the Azores, we will stay here again.

Very helpful and friendly staff as well as in the reception as in the bar. Spotlessly clean in the room. The breakfast could be more variated - we had the same to choose between in the 8 days, we were at the hotel. Do not book a taxy from the hotel - book through a taxi app instead. It is much cheaper, the cars er newer/better, and the drivers speak better English as well as drive more safely.

I enjoyed the overall experience. Pet peeve: it would be nice to have conditioner in the bathroom. Hotel smells great and breakfast is plentiful and varied.

The hotel is in a beautiful location and overall we had a pleasant stay. The breakfast was very good, and the bar staff were excellent—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The hotel itself is a little dated, and some areas could benefit from better maintenance. The gym could use updating, and I noticed that the windows and some common areas appeared quite dusty. The front desk staff were polite, but the welcome at check-in felt a little cold. They became friendlier as our stay went on, but a warmer greeting and a smile would make guests feel much more welcome, especially those visiting the Azores for the first time. Overall, it’s a nice hotel with a lot of potential. With a few updates, improved attention to cleanliness, and a warmer welcome from the front desk, it would provide an even better experience. We enjoyed our stay and would consider returning.

Great stay, 6 nights here. Good breakfast , lots of amenities. Only thing that didn’t go well was we signed up for the free yoga class, and the instructor didn’t show up. Even though email confirmation was sent the day before.

Exceptional. Everything the pool areas,the gardens the seating places was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Fabulous fresh flower arrangements. Great selection of local quality cheese and bread at breakfast as well as the usual options.

Hotel was in walking distance to many places in the city. Amenities were very adequate. Front desk staff and custodial staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, even arranged taxi for us. Breakfast was very good, offered an excellent variety of foods, and a continental breakfast beginning at 5 am for folks with early departures. Dining room supervisor was helpful in getting ice for me. One waitress was quite unfriendly. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is fine. The staff is friendly. The decor is right out of the 80’s. However our room had a horrible smell. Seemed to be coming from the closet. Very strong musty smell. Bed is very hard and uncomfortable. We only stayed here on our last night to be close to the airport. Would not stay here for a whole week.

Nice hotel with lovely garden views

Beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring the downtown by foot. The breakfast was very large with lots of selection. We enjoyed the tennis court as well.

Das Zimmer war sauber und bot alles Notwendige. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ok, nicht super, aber auch nicht schlecht. Der Barbereich ist gemütlich und gross gestaltet.

The property was well maintained and both the front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. The view of the koi ponds and gardens was lovely. The food at the restaurant and bar was very good and diverse. The on site parking made traveling easy and its location in city center made exploration of Ponta Delgada a breeze.

We enjoyed our stay at the Royal Garden Azores. This hotel is a conference centre style hotel, so during the day the 1st level can get busy and noisy. Our personal room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was decent with lots of standard choices for the island area, seemed under staffed at times as finding a clean ready table was a chore. We were informed that a bathing cap was needed to be purchased (3 euro charge), to be able to use the swimmimg pool onsite, but we experienced several people using the pool without one. The hotel garden, as of our stay, was not yet maintenaned and part of the hotel was still under renovation. Our room was renovated, but the craftmenship was spotty, especially for the nice finishes.
