Awful stay. Aircon leaks like a dripping tap if you have it on. We had to put the bin under it to catch the water that ran down the door frame. At night the temperature display is so bright it lights up the room, if you turn it off the room smells stale. Pillows were like trying to sleep on a brick. Only saw one member of staff, at the front desk, and they were very unapproachable and unfriendly Nice location, central for everything but noisy late into the night with old windows/frames Traditional style room with lots of dark wood furniture Wouldn’t stay again, more like 2 star than 3 stars when compared to everything else we have stayed in across Italy & Sicily

Lovely sized room with an amazing view of the square. Excellent soundproofing, good facilities. Walking distance of the train station and great for transport links.

Excelente ubicacion

I’m not sure who left the positive reviews on this hotel, but I have a feeling it was probably the owners family, employees or friends. This place was a dump. I left after 2 out of the 4 nights that I reserved for. First the positives. Then location was top notch. My balcony looked over the Duomo so I had views of all the action. The windows were double pained so with the use of my noise canceling earbuds, the noise didn’t bother me at all. The balcony was small but very enjoyable. Now for the cons. This hotel looks like something a foreign journalist would stay in if they were visiting one of the world’s most dangerous countries. Our room looked like someone attempted to decorate it with a super limited budget. The walls were painted orange but had big black smear marks in several places. The bed was very flimsy and made creaking noises every time I moved. My pillow smelled awful. I looked in the pillowcase and saw that it had an old foam insert wrapped with some kind of batting. The blanket in the wardrobe was falling apart. The bathroom was sub par and smelled like sewage. The air conditioning in the room was old and not adjustable. The hallway was not air conditioned so it was uncomfortable trying to climb the stairs in the heat. The common toilet was grossly stained. This hotel would be good for people who want a cheap price and doesn’t have to have comfort. But if you want a nice place to stay in Catania, this will not be the place for you.

Quarto grande localizado bem na piazza Duomo, de onde se pode caminhar para todos os pontos de interesse. Obviamente o prédio é bem antigo porque fica no centro histórico. Tem bastante barulho da rua, especialmente pela manhã quando os funcionários da limpeza urbana começam a trabalhar. Eu passei três noites e não tenho reclamações, só o fato de ter cortina de plástico no box.

Fantastic location right by the Duomo and Elephant Square. Hotel itself is slightly faded splendour but clean and comfy and staff were helpful. Bit of a drag having no lift and a room on the 3rd floor but staff carried our bags up for us.

古い建物ですが、清潔でヨーロッパらしい趣のあるお部屋です。 とにかく1番の中心である像の噴水広場の角にあり、とても便利な場所です。 建物には階段しかないので、大きなスーツケースは自力で持って上がらなければなりません。

The staff was very friendly even helped me out with my luggage since it was quite heavy. They didn’t speak English but it’s alright I used google translate so all was shorted out. My only issue is that it was advertised that my room would have a Duomo view and it didn’t which was a very unpleasant experience as I booked the place only because of that reason. Overall no issue!

This hotel met my needs exactly. I am a man traveling alone. I wanted to be near the center of town, the Piazza. I wanted a simple room that was clean and had a low price. The hotel was all of these. They did not have breakfast. The staff was helpful. My needs were limited, but this hotel turned out to be a perfect choice.

Overall good stay. Many steps. No lift. Front desk super nice.

This is a 3-star hotel, and it matches that classification. The location is truly excellent – it couldn’t be better. If your room faces the piazza, it can be quite noisy until around 4 AM, but once the windows are properly closed, you can sleep peacefully. The hotel is very clean, including the bathrooms, which are well maintained and have a spacious, comfortable shower. The building is historical, which probably explains the lack of an elevator – something that is definitely noticeable if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues. Breakfast is not served inside the hotel, but at a nearby partner café. It’s very basic: just a coffee and a croissant, nothing more. Overall, a decent experience. L’hotel è molto pulito, anche i bagni sono ben curati, con una doccia ampia e comoda. L’edificio è storico, e questo spiega probabilmente l’assenza dell’ascensore – una mancanza che si sente, soprattutto con bagagli o per chi ha difficoltà motorie. La colazione non viene servita in hotel, ma in un bar convenzionato nelle vicinanze. È molto semplice: solo un caffè e un cornetto, niente di più. Nel complesso, esperienza ok, darò 4 stelle.

It’s a $1,000,000 view and location but a $50 room. Tiny and outdated.

Needs updated. Very bed bads. Small rooms.Great location!
