Great staff - but the place is in bad shape. Broken shower rod, broken toilet seat, burned-out bulbs, general feeling of neglect and poor upkeep. Nothing available at breakfast bar at 8 a.m. aside from a few sad potatoes and dry cereal. But the people who work here are very friendly and helpful.

Loved my stay! very easy process, everyone was very nice, and everything was clean.

I knew checking in. It was a no-frills hotel but For one night, it was fine. The breakfast was nothing at all, so I skipped it.

Only issue was small TV’s with glitchy picture

Love the jetted tub.

It's a relatively cheap hotel, and I've had mixed experiences here. But this time it was pretty nice! I think they might have done something to the rooms - new carpet or something - and it really helped.

It is an excellent location for walking to Nore Dame University.

My stay was short but pleasant. Liz was especially helpful in the morning and truly appreciate her hospitality. I'll definitely return foe future business endeavors.

Overall an excellent place to stay. Just what I needed. Staying at Microtel next time I’m in South Bend, IN.

I enjoyed my one week stay at Microtel. It’s quiet, clean, and cozy. The staff was very professional, friendly, and accommodating. I would like to see more breakfasts options. I’m definitely staying at this hotel next time I’m in South Bend, IN.

Easy and perfect for quick trip

The staff was very accumulating and nice. I can’t say enough about them. The hotel probably needs a bit of updating in bathrooms but it was very clean and had lots of room. You cannot beat the location being so close to Notre Dame- it was an easy 15-20 minute walk on a beautiful path. The Chinese food place across the street was very dood.

Room was very inexpensive for what we got in return. Extremely clean, new carpeting throughout except for the stairs. Hot breakfast included. Extremely friendly staff.

The location is excellent for those doing things at Notre Dame. But it had a tiny toilet that needed several flushes to work. There were only two small and lumpy pillows, and the prominently advertised breakfast was non-existent (i.e. there was cereal but no milk, a covered dish for sausage and such but it was empty, no pastries, bread, or bagels. There was coffee in small styrofoam cups but no half and half, only chemical creamers).
