Loved the parador!! The room was extremely spacious and comfortable. Slept like a queen. It was wonderful after a long day of horseback riding nearby. Dinner was very nice. Service was excellent. Breakfast service was disappointing- the servers were not as friendly or attentive as I would have liked and forgot our egg order. They apologized but by the time we received them it was late and we had to go.

The Parador has amazing history and location. It sits over looking Monforte de Lemos, which is an ok walk down to the town but is a little challenging walking back up (there is a taxi rank in the town). The room we had looked out over the entrance and was large and clean but lacked style / a plushness considering it’s the best hotel in town. It was unfortunate that the pool area was closed, so bar the court yard for drinks / food there were no outside spaces to relax. We ate lunch on arrival which was excellent, breakfast was fine, lots of choice but €20 each.

Excellent parador in 400 year old monastery high above town. Plenty of parking, staff friendly and helpful, room large and well equipped. Restaurant was superb, great service and very high quality food. Not much to see in Monforte, but a drive through the Sil valley is stunning.

Todo estupendo, en especial la instalación que es imponente. El personal de recepción muy solicito y amable, el de hostelería pues según el momento. El gimnasio no reúne el equipamiento básico necesario.

Luxurious stay in former monastery was perfect! Easy, friendly check in, wonderful room and wonderful breakfast. Location can’t be beat. Parking was no problem. Lovely courtyard adjoining the bar. Interesting and beautiful building adjoining a church.

The hotel is situated in a converted historic monastery in a commanding position above the town and is quite unique. My wife and I had a very enjoyable one-night stay here as part of a driving tour of Galicia, finding it very clean and comfortable with good levels of service. The only issue we had was that as my wife is confined to a wheelchair with only one leg, we could only access the hotel via a back tradesman’s entrance and service lift as the disabled lift at the front door was not working, which was very disappointing.

Un lujo estar alojado en el parador. La atención del personal fue muy agradable. El ambiente tranquilo hace que se disfrute de la estancia y de la historia que respira el edificio.

Buen trato por parte del personal, habitación aceptable pero un poco vieja, se escucha bastante a las otras habitaciones. Desayuno bastante bueno

El edificio es precioso, pero el restaurante no es muy bueno. No es lo que esperarías de un parador. Además, se pusieron a hacer obras y ruido a las ocho de la mañana.

the air condition had to be services, and even then then room was warm. there was no way to have coffee or a toast as you were forced to take the full breakfast and the cafeteria did not open until 11. AM. the restaurant choices were very limited and some foods were no longer available .sad because it's a beautiful place with a great view. the staff was nice and worked hard , but the whole place was under staffed
