Breakfast at this spot is terrible!

Very pleasant staff, nice quiet spacious room and good choices at breakfast.

Beautiful rooms that are extremely clean and newly renovated. The price is extremely inexpensive for the value that you get. Highly recommend it. Will come back for sure.

The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was ample and varied. We would definitely stay there again.

Toilet kept breaking, shower worked poorly, housekeeping didn’t come.

The breakfast has improved from awful to just acceptable. The room is small. Bathroom is tiny. Pillows are blocks of rubber.

Bed is not stable

This hotel does not have lift. My mom is over 80 years old, we asked for a first floor room, the hotel could not offer us a room in first floor. It was so difficult for my mom to go to the room in second floor.

Dear SureStay Management, I am writing to express my disappointment following my recent stay at your Castlegar location. I visit Castlegar annually for work and, on this occasion, decided to bring my family along and try your hotel. We booked two rooms and were initially impressed by the friendly and helpful front desk staff upon check-in. However, our experience the next morning in the breakfast area was very disappointing. My family and I (a group of six) arrived approximately 40 minutes before breakfast was scheduled to end. At that time, there were no eggs or sausages available. When we politely asked a female staff member if there would be a refill, she responded curtly that breakfast was ending soon and offered no further assistance. What was particularly upsetting was the difference in attitude: while this staff member interacted pleasantly with other guests, she addressed my family with brief, unfriendly replies. This made us feel unwelcome and, as an ethnic minority, we could not help but feel that we were being treated differently. This experience left a negative impression on both myself and my family. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend SureStay Castlegar to my colleagues or family members based on this visit. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and address the staff conduct to ensure all guests are treated with respect and courtesy. Sincerely, Maneet Virk

Rooms were clean and comfortable , breakfast was very basic , be nice to have fresh scrambled eggs and bacon. Cold plain breakfast.

I was only there for two nights but every thing was fine. No issues.

Room was very nice had all the usual ameneties. Continental breakfast included (hard boiled eggs). Friendly staff. Hotel was recently refurbished. Good choice. Nothing negative.

It was quite busy and noisy. Could hear people walking above us and lots of noise from parking lot with people hollering. We were in the property's front and not as quiet s the back where we had previously stayed.

The service was great. This is a tired property in some areas of the interior and the rooms. The bathroom has been updates - this is well done. No doubt, I would stay here again as the reception was very professional and appreciated. Breakfast had many choices and the areas were clean. Good job! Thank you.

The bed in the room was so awful. Wasn’t level Kept falling towards one side Worst bed I even slept in.

Room is clean and spaciois with good desk & chair to work at.

Even though they were renovating they were super accommodating well done !

Very helpful staff. Traffic noise. Lighting was poor

The bed seemed to have better days. My back was sore after a night on it… not usual for me. I thought the mattress springs were shot. As for service I went to the desk to find an ice machine rang the service desk bell waited five minutes and no one showed. Never did find ice machine. Entrance to upstairs dirty and carpets in hall way needed cleaning or replacing. Travel thru Castlegar at least once a year! At this point I will be looking for other accommodation! Staff were pleasant though!
