아빌라는 그리 유명한 곳이 아니라고 생각했는데 오히려 매력적인 요소를 잘 갖춘곳이었어요. 특히 성안에 호텔이 위치해 있어서 참 좋았습니다. 직원들의 친절은 평이했으나 객실상태나 여러 가지 요소가 참 좋았습니다.

parador 자체가 원래 있던 오래된 건물을 개조한 구조이기 때문에 한계가 있지만, 아빌라의 parador는 방이나 침대 등에서 다소 부족해보이는 부분이 있습니다. 주차장도 너무 작고 주변에 마땅히 주차할 만한 공간도 없습니다. 위치는 성벽에 올라가거나 성당 등 가보기에 아주 좋은 위치입니다. 불편함을 운치로 대체한 생각과 고적한 분위기 자체를 높이 평가한다면 이런 약점도 강점이 될 수도 있을 것 같습니다. 아침 부페는 다른 파라도르와 비교해 별다를 것은 없읍니다.

Great Parador

Hotel muito bem.localizado, perto das muralhas. Restaurante excelente. Café da manhã muito bom. Cama muito confortável.

Si todo bien, solo bien

The Avila Parador was delightful - excellent staff and a central location within walking distance of the restaurants and sights. The one problem is parking - there are comparatively few parking slots at the hotel. When we arrived, we were able to park the car temporarily in the hotel car park (blocking several other cars!) whilst unloading our cases. But I then had to move the car three streets away to find a space on a public road with white lines (which is free parking). There were hardly any spaces available on the ‘white line’ roads. The alternative would be to park slightly nearer the hotel on a ‘blue line’ road but you have to pay at a meter for blue line parking - not cheap! The following morning, I watched (like a hawk!) as guests checked out and moved my car into the hotel car park as soon as a space appeared. We have no hesitation in recommending the delightful Avila Parador but just be ready for the parking challenge!

We enjoyed staying at the Parador in Avila. Excellent room. Helpful ataff. Outstanding breakfast, and delicious dinner, though the service was too slow for us, toward the end of a 3.5 wk trip in Spain. The Parador location makes it very easy to get outside Avila's famous city walls and walk around the entire old ciry for different views of the ancient walls. If we return to Avila, we would definitely stay at the Parador.. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was excellent!!! Staff was super attentive.

Spectacular location and the property was second to none we’d visited before. The staff were all wonderful as was the food in the restaurant and breakfast the next day! Parking was arranged on our arrival and we couldn’t have parked closer unless we were in the foyer!

Food in the restaurant was outstanding. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner over a duration of 2 days. The yemas de parador (dessert) is a must.
