Great parking, lovely room, excellent staff from check in to check out. All meals were lovely and well priced. We had a fantastic three nights.

I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The location is easy to get to, making travel to work convenient and the hotel offers good amenities that added to the comfort of my stay. Overall, a great choice and I’d happily stay again.

Very friendly atmosphere and beautiful settings and although I only stayed one night I would definitely go back. My only negative is that the Wifi was a little lacking as I was there on business!

Stayed in an annex room, the stairwell was filthy. The carpets look as though they haven't been vacuumed for weeks - fead flies. Established cobwebs

The internet was slow as was the room service It would be great to add fridges to more rooms Staff were all lovely and helpful and the building and grounds all lovely.

Lovely place to stay. Lots of character with fantastic gardens. All pretty good. Highly recommended!

One night stay business trip, great hotel, easy parking and good food

We got married here a year ago so came back for our 1st anniversary. We had a delicious meal and lovely breakfast in bed. There was no service charge for room service which was lovely. Our room was exceptionally comfortable and well equipped and the staff were lovely. In addition to that, the hotel looked stunning with all the Christmas decorations. A fairytale venue.

Have used this hotel for a few years for when I am working in the area and it is always an enjoyable stay. Room was lovely with an upgrade to a room with a door to the garden and the food was always good during the stay.

Nice location for a stopover. Historic building with views of the rolling grounds. Rooms are small with thin walls but well appointed. Dinner in the bar was ok but tables were in short supply and the Cesar salad lacked flair. The restaurant had a two course menu but this didn't work for me as only needed a single course.

Lovely place to stay!

Our experience was so bad that we checked out after 1 night and asked for a refund for the next night. The outside of the main building and grounds are beautiful, but the rest of our experience was too awful to stay. -After we used the toilet once (not doing anything abnormal there) it blocked. They said there is no handyman on Sundays so it couldn't be fixed. It's mad a 4star hotel couldn't call one out. We had to use the toilet of another room in the building. We didn't want to move to a different type of room as specifically booked this room category as it opens onto the grounds - that is what we came for! -The food at dinner was so bad that we had to order breakfast from ubereats as we did not want to risk eating there again. All radiators were off in the dining room and one window was wide open, so we ate in winter coats - it was like they make no effort unless there is a wedding. -The radiators in the room went off even though it was very cold -Neither of their wifi options worked in the annex- clearly it was coming from the main building and there was no working router in the annex. We reported this multiple times and nothing was done. -They advertise smart tvs in their website but they were old tvs with only youtube -The bath was filthy -Telephone intermittently didn't work -At 10am, despite the do-not-disturb sign, staff knocked on the door and came in, waking me -Despite all these problems, we were only offered a free meal, no refund for the night we stayed.

Very nice property in lovely grounds. We had a room in an annex which was fine and probably a little quieter than the main house as there was a wedding on. The room had a very nice private patio area outside but we weren’t able to use as the weather was so wet. The service at the bar was poor probably because of the wedding. Similarly the restaurant was dead - we were the only people dining - again likely to be due to the wedding. Food was good. Had we known there was a wedding on we probably would not have stayed. May pay to ask about weddings if you are considering staying here..,
