성에서 머물고 싶어서 예약했어요. 방이 여러개인데 저희는 여행 3개월 전쯤에 예약했을 때 방이 하나밖에 안남아서 공용 화장실 공용 샤워인 2층 숙소로 했어요. 화장실 딸린 방을 예약하시는걸 추천합니다. 저희 머문 곳은 천장이 매우 낮았어요. 솔직히 여기는 숙박 보다는 저녁 식사가 메인인데 한국인 입맛에 막 잘 맞는다고 할수는 없지만 같이 식사하는 외국 분들이랑 대화하는 게 좋은 경험이었어요. 식사보다 이야기가 메인이라고 보시면 됩니다. 그나마 메뉴는 blue cod / beef cheek/ cheese cake를 추천 드려요! 또 아침은 무료 제공인데 정말 퀄리티가 좋았어요. 바로 옆 키친에서 만들어서 주는데 왠만한 식당보다 좋았습니다. 그래도 전체적으로 성 입장료나 다른 여행객들과 얘기할 수 있는 경험 등 생각하면 영어만 잘 하신다면 나쁘지 않을듯 해요.

Gust love it

We had a wonderful couple of days here and would definitely go back again. The ballroom Cafe was lovely with great food and atmosphere and the 5 course meal in the castle was amazing.

It is a great place to visit or stay! We loved it Will definitely be going back again. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Can’t say enough about this wonderful property – it was definitely a highlight of the trip to stay in the only castle in New Zealand! We arrived late in the evening, rang the bell at the gate, and were immediately answered by someone who was expecting us, opened the gate, met us, and led us to our room, which was already heated, ready and waiting. After a wonderful night’s sleep, we were so impressed with the incredible views, and then went on to enjoy the amazing breakfast that was provided! After that, we toured the castle, as the admission price was included in the cost of our stay. Every staff member was so helpful and friendly, and the grounds are so well kept. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend you stay here. We did after seeing the penguins out on the point, which made for another unforgettable memory of our trip.

Fantastic estate rich in history, spectacular gardens, beautifully restored castle. The included breakfast was beyond expectation.

Excellent customer service, all the staff are with smiles, breakfast is delicious, view is gorgeous, able to see sunset in early morning from the window.

Lovely overnight stay at the Castle. Also did the dinner which was wonderful- food was best we have had our NZ trip. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable.

The unit was clean, in good condition, and the bed was comfortable. Instant coffee, teabags, sweeteners, and milk were available in the room along with an electric kettle. Breakfast was very good. Check in and out was simple and quick, staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

Staff was wonderful and kind. Recommend the dinner experience as a great way to meet the other guests. Breakfast was delicious and inclded a buffet as well as hot made to order breakfast. Views from the room are spectacular

I have stayed stayed here a few times and think it is an amazing place to stay.

There was nothing about this property i did not like. Everything was excellent, the food, the staff, the grounds the views. It was the best place we stayed on our trip. The tour guide was so knowledgeable and the history about the place and New Zealand was excellent.

It was super exciting to stay on the castle grounds and the gardens are magical in the morning.

This place is awesome to vist/stay. We were in the stable accommodation which does have a low roof on one side of the room but we knew this when booking. Nothing is too much for the staff, they are outstanding to deal with. Great breakfast provided in the mornings and you can book to have the evening meal in the castle-costs extra. The castle and grounds are just so wonderful. This is a place you really need to see.
