No lift, nice bar and restaurant. Car parking available.

Lovely location with a rather impressive view. Staff were most welcoming and polite. Room was very comfortable and the food was excellent. Would recommend.

Lovely hotel with brilliant room - great amenities. The bathroom is particularly outstanding with a fabulous shower. Very good food menu also.

Clean comfortable accommodation. Stayed in a classic double room. Appearance a little dated but comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Would stay again and decent value for money

I've stopped at The Gibside hotel many times, staff freindly and helpful, rooms okay,strange to get a disable room which I'm pretty sure I didnt book. but It was no hassle. will stop again.

It fitted my requirements perfectly but the room was showing its age with some lights not working & a poorly functioning shower tap. The staff were friendly & helpful.

Warm welcome, room was excellent. The bar was well stocked. We did not book an evenimg meal, we did have breakfast which was well presented, cooked to order and the waitress was brilliant. We were attending an evemt which was brilliant

Lovely staff and hotel spotless. Property is dated and needs some modernising but offered Good value for money.

Hotel had no lift and put us up 2 flights of stairs I’m disabled car parking was a public car park bed was great

This was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed here. All staff from cleaners, reception staff and catering staff were all very friendly. The place was spotless and very comfortable. Next time I visit Newcastle I will stay here again

Please don't hide the kettle and cup's in the wardrobe I didn't see them until I was leaving The shower was excellent hot and powerful beds comfortable and the Room is warm if you turn the heating up

I stayed on a Saturday night. The decor is a little dated but the room was very comfy and clean. The breakfast was great and the lady that served us was hilarious. I would definitely stay here again. Just to bear in mind that there are no lifts so you would need to be able to deal with stairs if you stay here.

Nice hotel in the middle of a lovely village. The views from the restaurant/bar were gorgeous!! Good array of shops, bars & takeaways within walking distance of the hotel. Staff were friendly.

Very comfortable stay.The room was clean ,comfy bed ,liked the shower cap which i had forgotten but there wasnt any shower gel only shampoo !!.The parking was limited .Enjoyed the breakfast which was lovely .

Due to being so cold through night, we didnt sleep until the bedroom heated and consequently, being so tired, we missed breakfast. This was a special time for us... But sadly it was ruined by the room being so cold. We were booked for Saturday night so wanted to cancel, but were told it was too late. So it proved to be so expensive and a disappointment. We are very elderly and I feel we were badly let down. Having said that we found the staff were absolutely wonderful! Very helpful and so kind...from receptoon (particularly reception Wednesday afternoon until 11pm went the extra mile for which ... many thanks
