This property had recently changed hands and was under major renovation. The previous owners were still managing the hotel while this reconstruction was happening. They were anxious to be of service during this time. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent and known locally as serving excellent Middle Eastern food. When complete, this location will probably become well recommended.

Very friendly staff thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Property is in our old house so could do with a little updating but it’s not a problem. Resturant downstairs was amazing. Will definitely stay and eat again.

The property was clean and tidy. The curtains and the bedspread looked a bit dated. The shower cubicle looked a bit worn but the shower itself was hot and had good pressure.

Friendly staff that couldn’t do enough to accommodate. I stayed while working nightshifts and they would organise to service the room outside of normal hours always checking if I needed towels tea coffee etc. I have stayed multiple times and will definitely stay again

Very nice hotel, pretty clean and very comfortable. It was perfect for my short stay there.

I booked this hotel when working in the village. It was very convenient with it being walking distance to the high street and various amenities. Parking was easy and convenient when I arrived around 5.30pm. The room was comfortable, but in need of a little touch up from patchy decorating, and the twin room was a bit short on space with an outward opening ensuite - this was passable though. Staff were friendly and on hand to help if needed until late. It was a comfortable stay, and have already booked to stay again. It is a greatly convenient hotel with lots nearby; free and easy parking; comfortable beds and quiet; so ideal if you're not expecting a chain brain quality of decoration.

Lovely place

The room was in a poor dirty condition. The main light was broken, the plug for the kettle was damaged with exposed earth pin, there was the previous guests biscuits on the floor, the shower was dripping and hadn’t been cleaned as the previous guests hairs were in the tray. The staff were not available to report issues too. Whilst it was a budget hotel I feel it failed to reach even this standard, the rooms have been crammed in so close you are able to hear everything other guests do and say.

The room was very dirty. Spiders in the corners, filthy windowsill and net curtain was dirty. On arrival we asked for breakfast and what time it was. The receptionist didn’t know then came up to our room and told us it was served between 8.00 and 10.00 a.m. Advertised having a hairdryer. There wasn’t one. Went to breakfast room at 8.30 a.m. with wet hair to be told there was no chef and no breakfasts were being served. The receptionist did find a hairdryer from another room then we had to try and find somewhere else to eat but places nearby were all closed. There was no manager present to complain to. Just a very bad experience. We’ve stayed here before and this visit was NOTHING like the last one, which was better.

All I needed was a single bed with a shower, WC and basin. That I got - for under £50. Remarkably good value for Berkshire. It was all very easy, the areas nice, and the man who greeted me and said goodbye was very friendly and obliging. I'll certainly come back when I'm next in the area

Very run down single room was tatty and not very clean. Sink not Working properly black hairs on bathroom floor door tatty and dirty paintwork. Bed uncomfortable. Whole room is in bad state. I have pics to show this.

Really friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Comfortable bed. A quiet area, giving a good nights sleep.The price reflects the 'luxury' you'll get, however, our stay was perfectly fine and we would definitely stay here again .

Older style property. Downstairs a comfy bar and a good sized breakfast room. Nicely upholstered furniture. Very friendly welcome. Upgraded to larger room. Ensuite good shower. Quiet area. Comfy bed. 10 hours sleep! Breakfast served with a smile. The cooked breakfast best my husband had had. All in all very pleased. Will be back

Comfortable affordable stay

We stayed for an overnight stop visiting friends. We weren't looking for a fancy hotel so i was not disappointed with Dial House. We had a reasonable rate for a reasonable room. The decor was a bit tired and the bathroom needs a good scrub but overall it served our purpose and was not at all unpleasant.

The staff were resoecrful and accomdating the room well perhaps it needs an upgrade cieling peeling wallwaper and the shower needed attention with a major leak but i was visiting family so only slep there so it met my needs
