전체 평가 및 리뷰 Matuka Luxury Lodge

So lovely, neat, tidy place with wonderful scenery from bedside and warm hospitality from Mel. It was heavenly place, can see so many stars with bare eyes and ducks are swimming in pond while having breakfast prepared lovingly by Mel. Must visit this place when visit Twizle.

신혼여행으로 방문했습니다. 시설,서비스 모두 완벽했고 특히 특유의 감성과 호스트의 응대가 탁월했습니다. 뉴질랜드 시골, 자연의 조용한 정취를 느끼고 싶은 분들 강력추천드립니다.

제 평생 모든 숙소 중에 안락함 면에서 최고의 숙소였습니다. 일단 신행이었구요. 푸카키호수 바로 앞에 있는 곳에 묶고 싶었는데 계속 매진이라 트위즐에서 알아보다 이용후기 독보적 1위라... 예약했어요. 체크인 종료시간보다 늦을 것 같아서... 메일로 늦을 것 같다구 보내놓았는데 곧바로 괜찮다는 회신이 왔어요. 메일 받자마자 이동중에 인터넷 연결이 끊겼는데.... 너무나 신속한 피드백에 안도했어요!! 도착하니 정말 영화에나 나올법한 동네에..... 영화에나 나올듯한 친절한 주인분이 환대해주셨어요. 새삼 환대라는게 이런건가 싶을만큼... ㅠㅠ 신행이라 하니 가든에서 직접 가꾸신 튤립이랑 작은 샴페인을 선물해주셨어요. ㅠㅠ 제일 좋아하는 꽃이 튤립이었는데 ㄷㄷㄷ... 내부도 너무 따뜻하고 침대에 전기장판까지!! 그러나 따뜻해서 켤 필요는 없었구 담날 있었다는걸 알았어요. 겨울에는 추울지도 모르니 세심함이 느껴졌지요. 그리구 밤에 스타게이징을 뒷마당에서 할 수 있다구 담요 꼭 덮고 나가라는 얘길 해주셨는데...... 이때만 해도 피곤해서 그런가보다 했는데요... 밤 늦게 그래두 맑으니까 별 한 번 볼까 하구 나갔다가.... 깜놀... ㅠㅠ 여기가 우주인지 지구인지....! 결론적으로 테카포에서보다 훨씬 잘 보였구요!!! 뒷마당에 눕혀지는 놀라운 의자가 있어요 @.@ 여기에 그 담요 덮고 누우면....비현실적인 별이 쏟아져요@.@ 하늘이 360도로 뚫려있어요 아무런 방해하는 빛 없이요! 이것만으로도 이 숙소 묶은 가치가 있다 싶은데.... 담날 일어나니 창밖에 미친 뷰가 ㅠㅠ 연못이 그림인데.... 거기에 설산까지.....+_+ 일정만 길면 마운트쿡이고 뭐고 3일 방안에서 베란다뷰만 봐도 좋겠다 싶었어요. 아침도 맛있었고요!! 결론적으로 신행 일주일 중에 최고 좋은 곳이었고요. 저렴한 가격이 아님에도 불구하고 가성비가 최고예요... 시설대비 저렴할 정도니까 무조건 묶으세요!! ㅎㅎ 내부는 사진하고 똑같아요!! 오픈 당시 사진일지 모른다 생각했는데... 그보다 이쁘면 이뻤지...뭐하나 아쉬운게 없었어요 ㅠㅠ 테카포에서 하루는 별봐야 된다구 1박만 하고 옮겼는데... 별은 여기가 훨씬!!! 잘보여요. 테카포는 빛이 너무 많아요! 암튼 인생 숙소였습니다!!!

창문밖의 뷰가 참 좋습니다 객실도 깔끔하고 주인도 엄청 친절하시고 아침도 참 맛있었습니다 전체적으로 굉장히만족스러웠습니다

We had such a lovely, relaxing time at Matuka Lodge. Luxury accommodation with a family vibe, so friendly and welcoming. Everything was wonderful, highly recommend this gem!

Guy was a wonderful host, made a great fruitcake. The honor bar was nice after a day of riding bicycle. A convenient location to the Alps to Ocean cycle trail with very clean accommodations and a great breakfast.

A great foundation for the nearby Mount Cook area as well as adjacent to the Pelennor Fields battle scene from LOTR The Return of the King. Delicious breakfast, easy parking, very clean, lovely area and spacious extremely comfortable rooms. Six stars!

A lovely place, the rooms are beautiful and well maintained, our room was on the banks of a small lake with a great view, Mel, the landlady, is nice and makes every effort to make you feel good.Very recommended!!

This place was an absolute gem, as were the hosts. I felt like I'd come home. The property is stunning with mountain views and a duck pond. The room was lovely. The common area was cozy and a wonderful place to unwind. I only wish I stayed longer.

Ein perfekter Ort zum entspannen. Leider waren wir nur eine Nacht dort. Wäre gerne mindestens noch eine weitere Nacht geblieben. Mel ist super lieb, man fühlt sich sofort wie zu Hause.

Una casa de campo sumamente acogedora. La propietaria, Mel, es muy hospitalaria. Habitaciones confortables con vista a un hermoso lago natural. Buen desayuno preparado según la preferencia personal del cliente

So quaint and secluded. A mini oasis. Mel was amazing. Hostess with the most-est. She suggested we do an early breakfast to get to Hooker Valley Trail early and she was so right for that! Rooms were immaculate. Refreshments and breakfast were immaculate. I wish we stayed more than 1 night.

Not recommended for couple as lacks privacy nor families as too small! Only one long dining table for 10 and wonder how it qualifies as a lodge! Only 5 rooms and breakfast from 8 am to 9 am!!! No fridge nor even kettle plus! Checkout is at 10 am and a loud knock on the door to confirm; hardly hospitable act let alone service. Over priced at NZ$500 per nite! Expedia needs to update.

Amazing lodge and lovely hosts. Highly recommend staying here. We stayed for 3 nights and the proximity to Mt Cook area was excellent (about 45 mins). The lodge was peaceful and included a lovely breakfast. Plenty of space to relax in the large lounge room in the lodge. There are a number of local places to eat dinner at (a short drive away).

We only stayed one night but would have liked to stay longer. A very beautiful property, very spacious and wonderful hosts. The view of the stars at night in a specially prepared area was fantastic. the cooked breakfast in the morning was delicious. Also wine and beverages available at any time.

Great accommodation close to Twizel. Excellent breakfast - all home made. Rooms were spacious and bed extremely comfortable. Bathroom furniture could do with a refurb. The outstanding feature were the positive energies of the hosts (Libby and Geoff). Libby was so caring for all her guests and ensuring that they were maximising their experience of the area - nothing was too much trouble for her to try and organise or to suggest.

We had the best time. Libby and Geoff are amazing hosts. Thank you both so much.
