유럽권의 호텔 중에서 역사와 전통이 있는 곳은 많습니다. 그 중에서도 베수비오는 나폴리 현지인들에게 굉장히 높은 유명세를 가진 호텔입니다. 특히, 칸조네로 유명한 카루소에 대한 좋은 스토리가 많아서 레스토랑(레스토란테)에서 꼭 카루소로 된 이름의 파스타와 와인을 한 잔하시길 권합니다. 호불호가 가리는 점은 테라스에서 흡연이 가능하여 식사를 하면서 예전과 같은 운치 있는 식사시간이 될 수 있습니다. 물론 흡연자들에게는 말입니다. 저는 비흡연자라서 담배는 식사시간에 피우지는 않고 식사만 즐겼습니다. 이태리를 가면 밀라노, 피렌체, 로마 보다는 나폴리를 가볼것을 권하며 그 중에서도 베수비오 호텔을 가길 권합니다. 서비스 또한 그 도시와 닮은 서비스를 제공해서 잘해줍니다. 야박하지 않게 말이죠.

나폴리의 3번째 방문이었는데, 호텔 선택의 여지가 별로없어서 고르는데 어렵지는 않지만 베수비오호텔이 위치한 옆에 해안가쪽 위치한 다른 4성급 호텔들과 시설이나 서비스면에서 별차이가 없음.

Beautiful hotel - old charm and very grand! They have lovely sitting room and furniture all through that is beautiful. Service was fabulous all around and they even accommodated a last minute New Year’s Eve reservation for us. The breakfast is incredible- fresh baked options are so delicious, and the setting was lovely. Only minor bit was the shower - it didn’t drain well and was tiny. The location is also great - close to good restaurants and major sites easily accessible. There is a convenient taxi stand just next door.

This was a supreme luxury hotel with the feel of royalty. The facility was absolutely beautiful and very ornate. The staff was beyond accommodating and very friendly. I would definitely stay here again. P.S. The view from the hotel terrace with breathtaking!!!

Hotel Vesuvio has a beautiful and convenient location by the waterfront, offering classic charm and lovely sea views. However, while it carries a five-star rating, the overall experience felt closer to a four-star standard — and at times even three. The rooms were comfortable but somewhat dated, and service levels varied depending on the staff on duty. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise — good selection, fresh ingredients, and a friendly, attentive breakfast team that made mornings enjoyable. The hotel restaurant also deserves praise: both the food and the service were excellent, with a professional team that clearly takes pride in their work. In contrast, the rest of the staff left a more neutral impression. They were polite and correct, but lacked the warmth and attentiveness you would expect from a top-tier five-star hotel. Overall, Hotel Vesuvio offers a nice stay with a great location, a very good restaurant, and a pleasant breakfast experience — but it doesn’t quite live up to the full five-star expectations.

Bad location, felt ignored, slow small elevators, was asked to leave bar so a private party could take over. Small dark room, very noisy plumbing. Room definitely not a 5 star standard.

A wonderful stay in Naples that kicked off our 11 day Italy tour! Beautiful location right along the water and lovely to walk along the waterfront. Exceptional, old school service and felt so welcome. Breakfast was amazing, hotel was quiet and easy to walk to the old city.

My wife and I have done a great deal of traveling. This is one of the finest hotels we have ever stayed in. Don’t miss it.

The hotel, staff and room were amazing. The one negative was that, without any advance notice, the hotel’s restaurant was closed to a private function on both nights, a Thursday and Friday. For a Michilen starred restaurant, that would be unheard of in the US. What made it a bit worse is the staff were clearly uncomfortable with the situation, and would simply say the restaurant was “fully booked,” which was not quite accurate.

I you need to take a taxi to get around. Some good bars and restaurants nearby. It’s an expensive hotel so drinks and other are expensive, goes with the hotel.
