Within the first 24hr of our stay, we experienced a number of issues which ultimately resulted in us leaving after one night (booked for 4 nights). - the day before checking in, we received a message stating that the property was trying to charge our card for the whole booking even though we had already booked and paid in full through Expedia. Luckily the bank rejected the payment and we resolved the issue with the property. -upon arrival, we noticed a lot of damage to the room. looks like water damage, missing lights, fans not working and door handles falling off. - we were locked out 2x times on our first day. The property uses an app that creates a code on the lock. This didn’t work the first time and WAS CONFIRMED TO BE MALFUNCTIONING and needed to be re programmed. The 2nd time we were locked out at 9:30pm at night. There is no front desk worker however there was a maintenance person who was eventually able to let us in. This was stressful. - that same night there was a big party above us and went on until 3am. My wife and I didn’t sleep much that night. - due to these two issues on the first night we decided to leave and request a refund. The property denied it however said, if they could recoup their money from the party people above us through their security deposit, they would refund us. They never did but offered us 100$ for the inconvenience which we never received. Will never book a Kristy Collection property again after being treated this bad.

Couple things were a problem but were resolved. Wish the hot tub worked because we had lots of lounging around time due to lack of wind for kitesurfing! Otherwise it was a nice place in a great location.

Arrived and room had mechanical problems with HVAC, fans, remotes for the television. Asked to speak to a maintenance technician to address the problems, hotel staff became very obnoxious with me. Was eventually switched to a new room that had the same problems and more. Left within an hour of arrival and am working on a refund due to the unsafe and poor conditions of the rooms causing me to have to find a new hotel to stay at.

Loved the potential of the property, but needed some TLC

Overall the property is decent but it's starting to fall apart. No hot water at times, water leaking from bathroom ceiling, Appliances are old and dated, TV HDMI ports are rusty looking and do not work. They also have a huge ant problem and roach problem. The staff is friendly and will do their best to accommodate your needs. Security guard is usually sleeping on night shift. The area of Cabarete is pretty safe but still don't want to see my security sleeping most of the time in the front lobby. The best part about this place is the location. It's literally right on the beach. Even with that, they still have a lot of work to do on this place. It has sooooo much potential to be amazing. Just needs a little TLC. I've stayed at this location for the last 5 years at least 1-2 times a year but I think its finally time to move on. I've found another place also in Cabarete that's well taken care of and up to date with modern amenities.

The view and location and large deck are the stars of the show here! Yes, the kitchen shows a bit of wear but is clean and very functional. Would definitely recommend!

We liked the outside appearance of the property as well as the apartment's size. The apartment itself appears to be a bit dated and could need a touch-up. Communication was ok after reaching out. Didn't really have information how to check-in until the day when we were supposed to stay there. Everything was smooth upon arrival though and somebody walked us up to the apartment. The amenities are limited. There is a nice pool but both hot tubs on the top of the building were cold. The location of the property is right on Kite Beach, however, about a 20 minute walk to downtown Cabarete.

This’s the second time we stay there and we love it . Beautiful view and it’s perfect to relax.

The location was great. On arrival, Yesenia was warm, welcoming and gracious. All staff, housekeeping, security and groundskeeper were pleasant. The view from the terrace and master bedroom was spectacular. Nice kitchen and good enough amenities. Everything was clean and housekeeping came everyday. I had no issues. It had all I needed. I had a great stay. This is where I will stay when next I go to Puerto Plata.

Well the property is what it is a Oceanfront condo type of Hotel. The staff are great... but would love for these type of Hotel to have like a list of the local restaurant and things to do...very similar to Millennium Hotel but there is a couple of thing that it has over this one...the Luxury Part. Do to the Lock down you will think the Hotel will tidy up things like lighting falling out of fixture, windows missing hinges, an outlet not properly secure that is a hazard, stains on walls and rusty refrigerator doors, stains on balcony cushions, Things like that for me are not Luxury. Take advantage of the slow season now and fix, Than call you self Luxury

I loved the ability to walk out your back door to a beautiful beach with dogs running, good food and drink within steps, kite surfing lessons in the afternoon and surfing encudaro in the morning. We will be back !

Great location right in front of the Kite spot and beside the kite club. Real Beachfront with great views ? Only negative: Hot tubs On the roof were not always hot...

Staff is very friendly. They went an extra mile to make us feel happy. They find out where to buy a birthday’s cake For us close to the hotel. Everything was great. We had a good time.
