Very friendly and helpful owners and staff. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choices both on the buffet and the main menu. The dining room was bright and airy with a relaxing lounge/reading area next door and a bar with a fossil display. The location was within easy walking distance of the beach , local shops and restaurants/ pubs.

Very friendly staff and lovely breakfast. Nice, clean rooms and well located with a short walk to the beach. Didn’t have an electrical plug for shavers in the bathroom or a hairdryer so go prepared.

Perfect lovely B&B with host and team who are thr most attentive and caring. Room (two bedroom we had for 4 of us) was perfect in clenlisness and decor. Location is outstanding , breakfast was lovely and all in everything is perfection

We absolutely loved our stay at Hensleigh House! The staff was amazing as were the breakfasts we enjoyed each morning. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We would highly recommend booking there due to the great location and outstanding bed and breakfast. Five stars aren't enough!

It tells you something that I was waiting in anticipation for the Hotels.com email just so I could get online and give Hensleigh House the five star rating it absolutely deserves. From the moment we were greeted at the door until the time we waved goodbye, our stay was first class. The building itself is beautiful with plentiful carparking out front which made access easy if needed. Inside, the bedrooms and ensuites were immaculate. Comfortable beds, windows you can actually open to let in fresh air, and decor some of the country's top hotels would do well to take tips from. Attention to detail was such that even the box of tissues on the bedside table carried the bird motif theme of the bedroom wallpaper. Downstairs, the shared lounge invites you in with its twinkling red lights and sofa you can sink into, and the bright breakfast room with it's big windows was a joy to come down to in the morning, if the smell of breakfast being cooked up wasn't enough on its own 🙂 Everything at Hensleigh House has the personal touch and the hosts were welcoming and friendly and made you feel that they were genuinely happy to have you there. I honestly cannot fault it and we will absolutely be going back again. In fact - I'm quite loathe to write such a glowing review in case it gets booked out!!

Lovely quiet B&B with on-site parking. Short drive to nearby attractions or walk to beach. Quiet and comfortable rooms, recently decorated and totally unmarked, almost as if we were the first to use the room. Excellent breakfast and lovely friendly staff. Would definitely use again

Definitely a 5* review, we would definitely stay again. We had a family room so the children had their own bedroom. It was one of the cleanest places we’ve ever stayed in, immaculate! The breakfast options were fantastic and the staff were all so friendly. We immediately felt relaxed. Locationwise it was a short stroll to the beach or up the hill to the lovely Royal Oak pub. We also had a tasty lunch at the local Bank Cafe. Very short journey over to Lyme. Quiet in the evenings. Perfect location for us.

HENSLIEGH HOUSE IS A LOVELY PLACE TO STAY, STAFF ARE GREAT AND SUPER HELPFUL, ROOMS ARE COMFY AND HOMELY. BATHROOMS ARE CLEAN AND SPARKLING AND ROOMS CHECKED AND CLEANED DAILY, BREAKFAST IS EXCELLENT AND TASTY, CHOICES ARE GREAT. CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM ENOUGH

Wir sind als Familie gereist und hatten das Familienzimmer mit 2 separaten Schlafzimmern. Die Inneneinrichtung und das liebevolle Ambiente waren großartig. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hier übernachten.

This property was spotless, well decorated and over all very nice. Breakfast was served and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was very nice.

Everything about my stay here was outstanding. The room, location and staff were all incredible. Can't wait to visit again.
