Room was great,

We booked this for my partners birthday, & we stayed in the garden spa suites. We had the best time ever, everything was so well thought out by staff, and we felt like royalty the whole time we stayed here. The staff made so many accommodations that made our stay so special, and we will 100% be returning for every special occasion now. The cinema room, the pool table, the spa/pool, the hotel room, the dinner (was outstanding), the staff, the breakfast - nothing fell short of perfection.

Good stuff first: The hotel is beautiful and in a gorgeous setting. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The staff are fantastic. The spa is nice. The restaurant is very good. Our room was cold. As far as I could tell, it didn't have central heating at all. When we checked in at 16:30 the concierge noticed this and said she'd look into it. When we came back to the room at 19:00 it was still cold, so we raised this with front desk and they said they'd sort it. When we came back again at 22:00 we found there was a small heater in place, doing very little, and that the room was still cold. We phoned the front desk and got a second, larger heater added, which finally brought the room up to a sensible temperature. So, fine, fixed. Just... odd. Then, breakfast was ok, but very slow. I waited about an hour for the cooked breakfast they offered when I arrived in the restaurant. Again, staff were lovely and apologetic, but this is weird. I had a good time! This is a nice place! But it's a fairly expensive hotel - it's supposed to be nice. Meanwhile, these oversights detract from the experience.

Room was lovely but controlling the heat was difficult. One minute cold then next raosting. Wanted to have a late rise in the morning but cleaners hoovering outside my room at 0800 was not welcomed. Food and drinks where great

La chambre était magnifique et totalement rénovée tout en gardant l’esprit du château avec un aspect cocooning. Le bar est Amazing. La piscine est sympathique mais très bruyante et cela nous a gâché notre expérience. Très déçue du petit déjeuner, cuisson des œufs et de la gaufre rratée. Gentillesse extrême du personnel, je recommande.

Overall a lovely overnight stay but with a few minor operational niggles taking a little of the shine off. Room was lovely, spacious, clean and all the staff we interacted with throughout stay were very pleasant and well trained, and seemed like they cared. Food was very nice and in fact one of the party said it was the best dinner he had had in any Scottish hotel of this type. Overall we were talking about a return sometime.

Great location.

Staff very friendly. Rooms beautifully decorated but not without issues. We asked to move rooms due to various issues. Some are underground with an eye level view of the car park! Breakfast chaotic, tables not cleared quickly and took ages to get hot drinks and take orders. Too expensive for everything not to be perfect.

Beautiful hotel in stunning surroundings! Staff were really friendly and helpful! The spa and pool were excellent. We were recently married and the staff arranged a gift for us which was a really nice touch!

We were contacted prior to arrival about dining reservations. The main lobby and bar area were grand! The breakfast room and options were generous and delicious! Our room was lovely and spacious - even though it was quite a long walk to our hallway.

Newly renovated property with really friendly staff. Evening meal was great. Would recommend.
