Prompt check in a nice clean room

Lovely hotel in a good position on the outskirts of Eastbourne , walking distance from the lovely village of Mead. Where there are shops and two pub/ restaurants. We found the staff to be both helpful and charming . Many thanks for an enjoyable stay .

All very fine and elegant, and well-maintained. A most pleasant stay.

Excellent stay. Relaxing environment with very spacious room overlooking the Sea. Very good service and tasty breakfast.

Location is great, within walking distance of seafront and town centre. Quiet by night. Pool area is nice. Downsides are the rooms are cramped - (or at least lower category ones are) - in a side seaview room there is only enough room for one person to walk around the bed at once. Bathroom is tired with a very weak hose shower over the bath. Breakfast was just OK. Service is poor, all the customers had to keep trying to get staff attention for what they needed. Some of the food is iffy - scrambled eggs are inedible (reconstituted?). I'd stay again for the location if I felt inclined to pay more for a bigger room.

We have stayed there quite a few times, always a pleasure to stay there.

Beautiful stay in a lovely hotel, room was good but extremely hot and didn’t really cool down. Gardens are beautiful, swimming pool cold but to be expected in April. Overall a good stay.

Very nice hotel with great service. Some areas of the rooms are a bit dated but, generally, the hotel has a lovely feel.

Just a short walk from a beautiful beach

Absolutely beautiful hotel, lovely hard working staff. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. Only minus was the shower pressure, took a while

The Hydro has a yesterday charm; it’s inviting and for me a pleasure to stay when working away. Food was not as good as the last time I stayed, but hoping that is just a blip.

An excellent stay in a quiet part of Eastbourne in an elegant hotel embracing traditional values. The breakfast was particular good as was the service provided.

Have been to the hydro hotel before always good

I had a great stay staff were friendly the hotel was everything you need. the food was excelent on the evening and breakfast was lovely as well. I would be happy to stay here again.
