Lovely hotel

The only reason we booked the hotel was so that we could use the spa. However, we were not able to do this as the jacuzzi and pool were cold, the receptionist knew this but didn't tell us as we were walking through. Also we were told that we cannot use the hydro pools due to some issues with the chlorine. There was no empathy shown, not any goodwill gesture offered. It's a complete disappointment. The room itself is very dated, the shower was not very nice to use, kettle was dirty and you can't keep the curtains open as you can see other people sitting out on their patio. At breakfast, it was looking very bare as it wasn't being stocked up continuously, we ordered breakfast from the menu which took an extremely long time to come out.

The hotel lovely & is in a lovely area with nice grounds & staff were very helpful & friendly. But… Being a cancer patient I get very hot & cold so always book a room with air conditioning ( we even have it home !) The air conditioning in the room was being refurbished & I was not told this until I couldn’t find the remote control. We had a fan & had to leave the window open so not a good sleep due to noise outside & being hot. So we went to the spa, pool was to cold for me so Hot tub it was.. no that wasn’t even bath temperature. The sauna / steam rooms were tiny 4 people max & they were full. So we left. Dinner, 4 restaurants I think & Only offered a table at one of the restaurants ( Thai ) which was very nice. Continental Breakfast was ok & wasn’t busy & fancied cooked food, but waited 45 minutes for eggs on toast ! Coffee ran out & no staff to be seen. So we left.. My wife liked the place so maybe it’s just me being ill with lack of patience & wanting everything to be perfect !!!

Wonderful relaxing experience

Hydrotherapy upgrade expensive at nearly £40

Great location a 15 minute from the centre of Canterbury. Very clean , great breakfast with lots of choice & wonderful hosts. Would stay here again & highly recommend . Definitely 10 out of 10.

Great spa facilities and very helpful staff

We treated ourselves to a two night stay, a chance to relax after a period spent dealing with serious health issues. The lady on reception was very pleasant and helpful and remembered our names throughout the stay. Our room was clean and comfortable, everything you'd hope it would be. We didn't use the spa facilities, but the pool and jacuzzi area was good, and very quiet at around three to four o'clock. Night one we ate in the Thai restaurant; food, service and atmosphere all good. Second night we were in the Cambium restaurant, which doubles as the breakfast room. The menu was quite restricted, and we should have asked for, or been offered, the all day menu, which is more extensive. But the meal we had was fine. Breakfast is a free buffet, or a paid for cooked option. We tried both, no complaints. This is not a cheap hotel, but the prices for additional food and drinks was not excessive. A couple of G and T's was £16.60, which I thought was reasonable. The hotel is ideally situated for access to the New Forest, Lymington, Lyndhurst, Beaulieu and the coast, even the Isle of Wight. Finally, a shout out to the hotel staff. Even the younger ones were, without exception, friendly, polite, and helpful, and made us feel like valued customers. We will stay here again I hope, and there is even a loyalty card, offering the chance of a free one night stay with breakfast!

Spotless rooms, lovely spa, beautiful breakfast.

Room clean and tidy

Very comfortable room and bed. Everything was spotlessly clean. All the staff were friendly, welcoming, and courteous. Food was very good. Spa was excellent

The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing is that the room access card felt to work and we were on the last corner of the hotel. They should advise not to put it near the mobile.

we did use the spa but did use the pool area > in average condition. The staff were very friendly. The continental breakfast was good. The selection of cheese and met good be expanded. You had to pay for a cooked breakfast. The cooked breakfast had small portions. The breakfast staff were very friendly..

Great staff ( susie ) . food was fantastic. only thing missing would say, i thought we should have been informed that there was work going on and a wedding. Definitely will be back .

Spa and rooms were excellent!

The Spa was excellent. Girls were lovely and well trained. The only criticism I have is the Hotel is not geared up for Solo’s. I am widowed, have visited before with my husband and have fond memories of a happy time. This time I stayed for a week on my own. On arrival there was a bottle of Prosecco in the room, with a note addressed to me. They had left two glasses which made me feel sad. There was never a table laid for one person . Each time I was led to a table it was always laid for at least two. I think a little more thought could go into where they place single people.

A very enjoyable 3 night stay at Carey’s Mānor Brockenhurst whilst my husband took part in a New Forest Bike Ride. We have stayed here before& have always had a pleasant time. Staff are very friendly & the hotel is very well placed for walking the surrounding forest areas. The spa at the hotel is also an additional plus which can be used free of charge if you are staying at the hotel although you have to pay extra if you have a massage etc - swimming pool & sauna etc are free

Great great food, ate in both the Zen and Cambria restaurants. My partner loved the massage that she received. Helpful and friendly staff. A real gem of a place. Hopefully, at some point, they can open up the yoga to hotel residents.
