The view from the property is amazing. The rooms were spacious and clean. We stayed at a 2BR room - both bedrooms had an AC so it was nice to have cool rooms during the hot and humid nights. There are many birds in the area - I saw the most colorful Tucans there. We also saw some wild monkeys. The property is up on the hill - you'd need a decent car with a good traction, ideally 4WD as parts of the uphill road is not paved. There's no big sign for the property from the main road, so if you're not paying attention, you'd miss the turn. (As we did several times!) The restaurant on the property is very nice, but the last order is 6:30pm, which you should note if you're arriving late. But there are plenty other restaurants in the area that are open late. The breakfast is served after 7:30pm. We had to leave earlier to catch some early morning activities - we asked the hotel about the breakfast box they offered on their brochure, but the person I spoke to didn't know what it was and we simply skipped breakfast on those days. If you're leaving early, you need to plan accordingly. The food they offered was very good - their coffee was particularly good! Everyone at the hotel was very nice and helpful. It was very quiet and peaceful at night - no parties while we were there. The maintain a very clean pool which my family enjoyed. There's a wildlife sanctuary near the hotel - it's only a 2-min walk up the hill. I highly recommend if you're staying at this hotel.

We loved staying here! The views are gorgeous and there were toucans in the trees! The food was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. We rented a 4 wheel drive so the steep road was not a problem.

Beautiful property. We saw macaws, parrots, a whole troop of toucans and there seem to be white faced monkeys in residence at the trees near the parking. Unbeatable views. Mango trees all around. It’s like staying at a local friend’s well maintained home. The staff is so sweet and helpful(thanks Yeik). We stayed a bit off season so maybe that’s why but it was very quiet and peaceful only saw 2-3 other guests. Just make sure you have a v6 SUV as it’s a steep grade up to the hotel and the food is not paved in sections.

Schönes Hotel mit Potenzial und traumhaftem Ausblick. Wir hatten insgesamt einen angenehmen Aufenthalt, haben viele Vögel gesehen und tolle Sonnenuntergänge erlebt. Trotzdem möchten wir einige Kritikpunkte ehrlich teilen. Auf unserer Reise mit 9 Unterkünften (3–4 Sterne, B&Bs) war dieses Hotel das teuerste – leider auch mit dem schwächsten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Erreichbarkeit vorab war schwierig, erst nach mehreren Versuchen erhielten wir eine Antwort. Das Frühstück war lecker, aber im Vergleich am spärlichsten (Auswahl aus 4 Gerichten). Die Villen sind sauber, geräumig und gut ausgestattet, besonders die Küche. Die Einrichtung ist jedoch in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zufahrtsstraße ist sehr schlecht und erfordert ein 4x4-Fahrzeug. Der Restaurant- und Barservice war hingegen sehr freundlich, Cocktails gut. Enttäuschend war der Empfang: Unser Wunsch nach Villa 3 wurde trotz Verfügbarkeit nicht erfüllt, mit Verweis auf ein automatisches System. Bei den wenigen Zimmern hätten wir uns mehr Flexibilität gewünscht. Die angebotenen 10 % Kompensation erhielten wir auch erst auf Nachfrage. Begrüßungscocktails bekamen wir nicht, andere Reisende schon. Alle Villen kosten gleich, obwohl Lage und Aussicht stark variieren – aus Villa 5 sieht man deutlich weniger Meer als aus Villa 3. Eine direkte Zimmerwahl bei Buchung wäre sinnvoll. Fazit: Schön, aber zu teuer für die Leistung. Wir würden nicht erneut buchen.

This is a very clean hotel with incredible views. It has a great bar and restaurant on site and the pool overlooks the ocean. My only regret is not staying longer.

This was my absolute favorite place my kids and I visited in 12 days in Costa Rica total. The staff and grounds were phenomenal. We want to go back- not just to Costa Rica, but also specifically to this property that just… felt like home to the hearts.

This property is very relaxed and welcoming. The staff are highly attentive and really take care of you while you are on site. The addition of the animal sanctuary makes it a very eco-friendly destination. We stayed for one week during which the surrounding jungle and wildlife were the stars of the show.
