I had an exceptional stay. Comfortable bed; big bathroom. The prime location made it so easy to walk to local restaurants and shops. The staff was welcoming and attentive. Delicious breakfast.

Overall great place

I have mixed feelings about my stay at this hotel, as there were both positives and negatives. Cons: • The mattress was extremely firm—so much so that I had to double-check whether there was actually a mattress on the bed or just a wooden board. I ended up using both extra comforters as padding to make it somewhat comfortable to sleep. • I was left standing in the rain one night for quite a while because no one was at the Front Desk. I eventually had to walk around the building and knock on a window to get the staff’s attention, as the attendant was engaged in conversation in the kitchen. • Although I originally requested airport transfer back to the airport, I mentioned during check-in that a friend would be providing my airport transportation so to cancel the service and they told me no problem. At the end of my stay, I was still told I would be charged for the hotel shuttle service (which was significantly more expensive than a standard Uber.) Pros: • The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. • The food was very good. • Sergio, one of the hotel staff members, provided excellent service—he was professional, kind, and went above and beyond to assist. With a few improvements to guest communication and comfort, this hotel has the potential to offer a much better experience. I’m not sure if I would stay here again though.

Very nice hotel, very attentive personnel, lot of restaurants, malls, night life, parks within walking distance, very safe area, highly recommended. It was our second stay at Retiro by MJ. Commendations to Sergio!!

Hotel maravilhoso e funcionários muito atenciosos!

O hotel foi maravilhoso. Fomos muito bem recebidas e apoiadas pela equipe, que é muito gentil e ajuda em tudo o que precisar. O local é limpo, com cama confortável. A localização merece ser destacada, fica próxima a shopping, restaurante e à uma das partes principais da cidade, da pra fazer muita coisa a pé.
