Arrived at motel exhausted after 12hrs on the road. Given a room above the kitchen. Lots of external fan noise coming through fixed-open bathroom window. Was told by reception it was the exhaust fan from the grill in the kitchen below, and that I should shut the bathroom door. Some improvement but room was still humming. Other room not offered. Fan to be turned off at 8pm when kitchen closed (that day). I was a repeat customer, but given their attitude to problem, I will not be staying there again. And lots of road noise through that fixed-open window all night. Plenty of other motel options in town.
