Nice property but a bit far out

The front deck had a few loose or damaged boards but other then that the stay was impeccable and love coming back each time keep up the great work.

TV did not work no cloths for dishwashing no washes mould on the ceilings what else was there no fly spray no tea towels would like some money back or two nights are free accommodation in summer thank you

Perfect place to stay for large family.

The property has only 1 AC in living room which made it very difficult to sleep on a hot and humid weekend. Property is spacious, average clean and maintained . May require renovation

Quite and relaxing

Very clean and our cabin had a safe grassed area for our furbaby.

We checked in late to our cabin with our little dog and were amazed when we opened the back door to a huge fenced off grass area for her. Will try and book the same cabin next time.

The peace and quiet was lovely tucked away in a corner was great with lots of parking and a lovely pool

The setting of these units are fantastic, leafy surrounds with the sound of birds. Premises are older style but everything clean and what is needed. Airconditioned and fans. Units are nicely set apart giving some privacy to each. Also nice under cover patio with seating making it a pleasant outdoor experience as well. Would always stay there again. Staff a very friendly and helpful.

Cabin location was near all amenities. Kitchen was well stocked, bed was comfy and bathroom had 2 sinks! The ping pong table was a bonus! And seeing the sand dunes from our cabin was a surprise! The Stockton Beach sand dunes were walking distance from the cabin!

Great location near the sandhills which are great to explore and the low tech entertainment available mean't it was easy to keep kids away from thinking about screens

Port Stephens wonderful place to visit (reasonable priced dolphin cruises in nelson bay a must do). The Retreat was a nice budget options, place clean and nice and quite. Hot water ran out quite quick but assume is standard for cabin accomadation. reception staff helpful. Need a car if staying here as nothing really walking distance but by car easy enough to get around.

Advertising WiFi and having WiFi are two different things. WiFi was virtually non existent and the offer if "use the office" not much help at all. The cabin itself was OK. The air conditioning is really badly placed being in the kitchen directly over the cooktop. Air-conditioning struggled with the heat. As I say,the stay was just OK.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Was perfect for what we were there for. Highly recommend.

Booked a dog friendly cabin only to be given one that wasn't. Had to pay $80 clean up fee and move ourselves to dog friendly cabin the next morning.The eco friendly cabin certainly was that with ants and cockroaches in the bathroom and kitchen. When you tried to escape these you couldn't open the screen door - door handle jams. Cover on remote control kept falling off and shower screen rails were rusty and dated.This was disappointing as we were staying there to be near a engagement party but this experience has turned us off wanting to stay there for the wedding. Also when we arrived there was a naked man and drunk blokes hanging around the barbecue area and making lots of noise.

Close to Birubi Beach and everything Port Stephens has to offer. Clean & beds are comfortable. The staff are exceptional!

Only stayed 2 nights but the cabin was clean, warm and comfortable. Staff friendly and very helpful. Sand dunes at back door and enjoyed a beautiful sunrise atop a dune overlooking the ocean, whales passing by on their migration north.
