There were no staff, no reception or front desk person, room had insects and spiders, towels were not clean. Very poor overall. We need refund. Worst stay

The room was beautiful and spotless and the staff were lovely and helpful. It was also very useful to have free parking! The hotel itself could have done with a hoover but I think it was going through some renovations so it's understandable that it wasn't the tidiest!

Lovely staff, clean room and ideal for our one night stay over

Needs a major upgrade. Poor heating due hardly being on and with insufficient window insulation. In fact sash windows can’t close so top of one window was stuffed with tissue. Had to improvise with a towel as the gap in middle needed blocking! General plumbing needs replacing as the smell wasn’t good and outside in the general area had air fresheners all over. Stairs and general decor is in poor condition. Big mistake not reading previous reviews 😡

It was an adequate stay for the price. The car park was full but there was a car park nearby.

Welcoming host clean room comfortable beds

It is in dire need of a refurbishment. The walls need re-painting. New furniture is needed. I had a wardrobe where one of the doors was non existent because it was broken & a broken leg on a stool. The wind was very strong & blowing through the windows. I wouldn’t recommend this property.

The general area around the hotel was old and a bit untidy. St Leonard's itself is not a great location for travellers. Our room was large and OK but the hotel was a bit rundown. Breakfast was only available on the week-end.

The property was of a poor standard for the cost of the room. No washing products were in the bathroom. The toilet flush was broken. The window vibrated when you moved in the room.

Could really do with some repairs and more attention to detail on the cleanliness. Noisy bed frames, creaky floorboards, a horrible damp smell, broken shower door handle, really old and damaged shower head, cracks on walls and the bathroom floor was lifting up. Staff was attentive and the location was ok, but overall not a great stay.

Terrible. Paint falling off the roof. Blinds broken. Carpets dirty and towels stained

Awful & outdated, terrible room, mould in bathroom, dirty windows, flooring unfinished, filthy carpets, dirty stale water left in kettle! Absolutely not worth £80 a night! DO NOT STAY HERE!

PRETTY AVERAGE HOTEL UNDER REFURBISHMENT HAD ISSUES TRYING TO GET IN THE CARPARK DUE TO VAN BLOCKING PART OF THE DRIVE.

No food including breakfast room was clean but rest of the hotel needs facelift

The bed smelled. The towels were dirty.

The serene environment

Gosh. Crumbling frontage held up with scaffolding. Breakfast only served at weekends but given the grubby state of the staff and the hotel, i wouldn't risk it. Shower and sink so full of black mould i left unwashed. Dreadful place.

If you are expecting the Ritz, well this isn't, however, at the prices it never could be. A very tired property. The shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. The bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed a wonderful night's sleep.

Quirky, friendly. Nice little bar downstairs and nice garden. Could see the sea, which was a bonus. Thanks.
