야마가소는 전통료칸이지만 주위 다른현대식건물이 너무 많음 전통료칸을 찾는 여행객에게 유용하지 않다는생각. 비추임

아주 전통적인 료칸입니다. 할머니의 따뜻한 배려와 미소가 오래도록 여운이 남았습니다.

너무좋았습니다. 직원들 너무 친절하고 온천도 너무 좋았고 식사 최고입니다. 또 가고싶습니다.

너무 행복한 시간이었습니다. 곳곳에 아름다운 정원이 있고 직원분들의 안내와 서비스도 매우 친절했습니다. 시간적 여유만 있었다면 2박, 3박 하면서 하루는 숙소에서만 쉬고 싶을 정도로 평화롭고 아름다운 공간이었어요! 코타츠에서 차를 마시고 도톰한 이불에서 잠을 자고 숙소 내 개인탕에서 온천을 즐기고 야마가소 안 가족탕에서도 행복한 시간을 보낼 수 있었습니다! 다음에 하코네를 다시 간다면 여기를 또 이용하고 싶어요♥️

객실담당 직원의 서비스가 정성스러웠고, 1박이었지만 가족같은 분위기로 있을 수 있었습니다. 료칸 옆으로 흐르는 계곡물과 깨끗한 공기도 좋았습니다.

최고급의 럭셔리한 료칸은 아니지만 모든 객실이 독채이고 정원도 아름다운 훌륭한 료칸이었다. 하코네유모토역에서 도보로 10분 정도 거리에 있고 경사도 심하지 않아서 걸어갈 수도 있다. 음식은 가격대비 나쁘지는 않았지만 기대 이상은 아니었다. 개인탕이 없고 가족탕만 있어서 아쉬웠는데 노천탕은 아니지만 3명의 가족이 이용하기에는 아주 좋았다. 객실이 아주 넓지는 않았지만 거실과 침실이 분리되어 있어서 편리했다. 룸담당 직원들은 아주 기초적인 영어 밖에 못했지만 큰 불편은 없었고 아주 친절했다. 다다미 방이 있는 목조건물이라서 조금 냄새가 나긴 했지만 일본 전통 료칸을 체험하는 즐거움이 훨씬 더 컸다. 정원이 아름다워서 사진도 예쁘게 나오고 직원들이 사진 잘 나오는 곳에서 찍어주기도 한다. 셔틀버스는 없는 줄 알았는데 체크아웃할 때 옆에 붙어 있는 센케이 호텔 셔틀버스를 불러줄 수 있다고 했다.

시설은 깨끗하고 다 좋음. 그러나 온천을 프라이빗을 제외하곤 나머지는 다른호텔과 쉐어함 독채인 것은 굉장히 맘에 듦. 산속에 료칸을 기대한 것이라면 다른 료칸 추천. 역에서 가까운 료칸임

This a small Ryokan which is very authentic Japanese style. No English spoken but this adds to the authenticity. We loved the natural accommodation which was exactly as shown on the website. Excellent meal provided in the evening and an enormous breakfast which we were not expecting so was a bonus. We lounged about in out Japanese clothes provided and Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this clean and peaceful retreat.

Yamagaso was a wonderful surprise after a very disappointing stay the week before at Arima Onsen. This property is beautiful and our room with a garden view was more pleasant than any any place that we’ve stayed around the world. The rooftop onsen is a very special experience to not miss. The breakfast and dinner was superb and each dish presented was a work of art. All that being said, what made this place really stand out was the service provided by Kimiko. Her attention to detail, explaining customs, preparing the room and serving meals made our experience very special

A lovely authentic Japanese experience. Very welcoming hosts. Food was plentiful and to a high standard just not to my Western palate. Very fish orientated. A menu would have been good to help identify some of the dishes. We loved getting dressed into our Yukatas. No Wi-Fi in the room but available in the lounge. Convenient for Hakone station.

Amazing experience of staying in Japanese Ryokan. It is a bit dated but very authentic and enjoyable for couple of nights

離れは雰囲気も良く、とても良かったですが、かなり古い建物で全体が歩くたびに軋みます。 部屋付き内温泉ということで楽しみにしていましたが、1人が体育座りになってやっと入れるほどの小さいお風呂で、ゆっくりは入れませんでした。 写真では大きそうに見えたので、残念でした。 その代わり、離れの客が使える家族風呂や、本館の方と一緒に使える露天風呂、大浴場がありました。 サービスも丁寧でとても良いのですが、玄関にお給仕スタッフさんからのノックが来たらすぐに出ないと、大声で叫ばれ、回り込んで窓までガンガンと叩かれ、急かされている感じが多々ありました。内線電話があるのだから、急ぎや食事の時以外は電話で教えて欲しかったです。 高級旅館という感じの落ち着きはありません。 食事はどれも美味しく、量もちょうど良く満足でしたが、今回は休日ということもあってか12万円以上払っているので、お夕食はお刺身や、メインのお肉などの量がもう少しあっても良かったかと思います。 全体的に、15,000円くらいで食べられそうなものたちでした。もう少し、目を引く豪華なものが欲しかったです。 電波はほぼないですが、少し繋がる程度。 Wi-Fiは、茶屋からしか使えず、お風呂の帰りに湯上がりドリンクのサービスもあるというので行ってみると、コンセントに差し込むタイプのソフトバンクエアーを導入しているだけだったので、そこに行ってもWi-Fiは弱く、動画やゲームなどはできません。 湯上がりドリンクはウィダーやお茶、コーヒー、サイダーがあり良かったです。

Booked through hotels.com. I thought that, since this was a ryokan and other reviews mentioned the amazing Kaiseki style dinner they served, that dinner would come with my booking. There was no additional option when booking to specify whether I wanted dinner or not; so I figured it was implied/included, as it has been for other Ryokan bookings. Turns out, somehow, despite being $600+ a night, my booking did NOT include dinner. This wasn't made clear to me until after dinner never showed up the first night. So, after bathing and putting on my yukata and relaxing with a beer, I had to trudge back outside in my streetwear where the only thing open was an Izakaya with a 1.5 hour wait. I complained to the staff in the morning, and they refused to do anything to make it right. If I wanted dinner that following night, I'd have to pay 20,900 yen more. This overall RUINED my experience for these two days of my trip, which were also, by far, the most expensive accommodations. Given this I cannot award any stars to this place. The actual room and hotel grounds were nice, but not worth getting my trip screwed over. DO NOT BOOK. Find something else, one that will not screw you over on the experience.

We came to Japan to experience the culture. Hakone hotel Sensei was perfect. Beautiful room with private onsen. We also experienced the open air onsen. The dinner and breakfast was fantastic. My only complaint was too much food.

Loved my stay here! Everything was well organised, the semi-private onsen was always free when I wanted to go. The little ryokan was comfy and warm. Would recommend.

The stay at Yamagaso was a unique experience. I recommend doing the half board as the Kaseiki dinner and the breakfast were fantastic! We also love the private onsen and the convenient access to the other onsen at the hotel next door.

Wow! What an amazing experience. We had a beautiful stay , our only regret was that we could not stay longer. We highly recommend this traditional Ryokan. Kimiko our host is a beautiful souls and made ourv stay that much more special. The food is incredible, the private ohnsen was better than expected. You will not be disappointed with a stay here.
