The staff at this hotel were genuinely some of the friendliest & kindest people I have met during my travels. Everyone was welcoming, helpful & always willing to assist with a smile. The hotel’s location is also excellent, situated right next to the historic center of Colonia del Sacramento, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the old town on foot.
Unfortunately, despite these positives, I cannot say that the overall experience offered good value for money. The room was extremely small and felt very cramped—to the point that I couldn’t even fully open my suitcase. The bed was also small and quite hard, making it difficult to get a comfortable night’s sleep.
The bathroom had a serious humidity problem. Even the clean towels felt damp & the floor became extremely slippery, which was unsafe. The air conditioning unit inside the room leaked water throughout my stay. The television had a very poor signal with constant static & the safe was exceptionally small, only large enough for tiny personal items. There was also no refrigerator in the room.
The breakfast was decent, although nothing special, just the basics. However, it wasn’t served until 8:00 a.m., which is surprisingly late, especially for guests planning to catch the early ferries.
I genuinely feel bad leaving a negative review because the people working here were truly kind. However, in my opinion, the hotel simply does not provide good value for the price.
