We’ve stayed at the hotel many times and we leave more impressed every time. The staff, the food and cocktails, the cleanliness and the accommodations are all top notch. We’ve recommended Pleasant View Inn to family and friends and after their stays they’ve called to thank us for telling them about it. Can’t wait to go back

We had an ocean facing room and absolutely loved it!

The stay was nice overall. One of our door locks didn't work, and the outside door to the side of the hotel was chained wide open. Also, there wasn't a phone in the room, which was concerning in the event of an emergency, if someone didn't have access to a phone and couldnt contact hotel staff.

This property should not be advertised on Expedia. It's run-down and unsafe. The exterior side door to the building was held open with a rope. This door remained open 24 hours allowing anyone access to the property. When this was brought up to the hotel manager she shrugged it off and said someone is on patrol ( not so) and even if a non guest walked in they could not get into the room. There is no room cleaning service unless the guest expresses a need for it. The front desk gave a " covid" rationale for this. The rooms have an extreme musty smell to them. It smells like a beach house that has been closed up for several months. The price does not reflect the quality of the room, especially since this is off season. Only the view, if you have an ocean front room, is a positive. Upon arrival we were also hit with a $90.00 destination fee. Apparently, this covered 2 8oz water bottles in the room and free parking. We were extremely disappointed in this property and will not return.

Krysta at the front desk was so helpful, our room was kinda sub par and she upgraded our room for us. Made our visit special. We booked in the off season so the restaurant, bar and front desk had limited hours. Easy check out and we were gone for the day.

I was traveling for the night with my family; we selected this hotel because it was described as family friendly and they had an oceanfront restaurant with a kids menu and after 3 hours in the car with two small children this convenience was needed. About a week before our stay I got a voicemail warning that it was opening weekend and the pool would be closed and there would be no food. It was too late to try to find something else. When we arrived the staff barely looked up at us, they were clearly overwhelmed and not friendly and had us waiting because of technical difficulties. Then they charged us an extra $45 "destination" or "resort" fee... which is absurd because their pool and restaurant were both closed and we carried our own luggage (5 trips up 4 flights of stairs). I also don't think that a hotel without a bathtub is family friendly. I assumed it was going to have a tub like most hotels, and my 3 year old was terrified of the shower and it became incredibly dangerous holding my 1 year old in the shower who was slipping out of my arms and the water pressure was way too strong for her little head. The staff also didn't provide the wifi password. We had a balcony and the view was great, but around 7pm huge spotlight placed directly to the left of our balcony turned on flooding our balcony and ruining the experience. We had to use the blackout curtains just to block this intense light so no chance of waking up to a sunrise. It was overall a major disappointment.

Aptly named indeed. Would stay again and again

The closeness to the ocean. Smelling and hearing waves crash right outside my door. The most calming sounds to fall asleep to. The fishing. The food was good too. Just a lovely get away. And romantic too!

Parts of the property and room were updated and other parts were a little warn out and outdated. Overall a decent room, comfortable clean beds and great shower. Right on beach so you can’t beat that

Great location with history, but in need of updating and cleaning.

There was a serious dampness problem that affected my breathing and I couldn’t stay even one night. The faucet in the bathroom was dirty and there were rust marks on the end tables from the metal of the lamp bases. Congratulations Expedia on your business model for not giving refunds for significant reasons. This property has a beautiful location but the hotel is 2 stars at best. The kids running the hotel were kind enough. The issues are structural.

This area; just after or before the summer season, is amazing. The weather is great and the crowds are nonexistent. Listening to the ocean waves breaking all night long is worth the stay. The property itself is a little worn but nice, typical of a beach town. The location takes it from average to great. The staff has always been great. We’ve stayed here many times and will be back again!

Absolutely love this place! Unbeatable private beach, gourmet dining on site, cute little bar, views to die for. We have made this our annual go- to!

Beautiful and relaxing, easy access to beach and pool, sunrise and sunset views, safe and many walkable options for food and shopping

Not at all what is presented in images of hotel. Check-in is at 4:00. I paid an extra $71.00 to check-in at 12:00. The carpeting was stained and lifting up in places. The room was quite small and had a musty odor. some ceiling tiles had shifted off their frame. My wife and I decided to check out after one hour of being there knowing we would not be refunded
