Brilliant stay, out of the ordinary experience in the UFO, but if wary of ladders perhaps stay in a different room, can't take big bags in just a rucksack with essentials

Helt fantastiskt! Vi bodde i dragonfly, 4 personer och vi hade gott om plats , rent o snyggt! Utsikten är fantastisk, sängarna sköna o allt var rent o fräscht!

This hotel is obviously unique – rooms are small tree houses designed by well-known architects. I have been wanting to go there for years but couldn’t realize plans until now. My friend and I booked 6 months in advance and then came Covid and we had the entire place to ourselves. Some handle the pandemic smart, others abdicate and Tree Hotel seems to belong to the latter category. Before arrival we were told that the restaurant was closed but no alternatives were provided (we brought camping stove and Bollinger). Breakfast was handed to us at check-in in a bag but was insufficient and like a cheap airplane breakfast). We stayed in the Mirror Cube and it was great. But everything was covered in a layer of dust, windows were green with algae and one mirror underneath the cube was missing. Being the only guests we looked at all the other tree houses and most need freshening up – a loose plank here and there, paint fainting. I usually only write reviews when I am satisfied (…) but coming here was disappointing and considering the price tag Tree Hotel needs to do better. Much better.

Den var jättebra, vi bodde i The Cube. Var dock inte förberedd på att det var förbränningstoalett. Det enda som saknades var en tv på rummet, hade varit mycket uppskattat.

We stayed at the Mirrorcube. It was awesome. Comfortable bed, floorheating, quiet, beatiful soroundings, I loved the bridge up to the cube. Very good food, we had both dinner and breakfast. Hearlty recommended.

Beautiful accommodation in the forest. Many unique and comfortable cabins to choose from. The service and atmosphere is top notch. We stayed in the “cabin” and “blue cone” and really enjoyed the views from both. We origanlly booked the ufo and changed to the blue cone since it offered much better views.

Underbart hotell och trevlig personal.

En unik plats med genuina intryck av natur, svensk tradition och stillhet. Maten med lokala råvaror men modernt snitt höll högsta klass och var väl komponerade med bra viner till. Servicen var bra av trevlig personal som var genuint intresserad av dig, samt att du hade en bra vistelse. Rummen är unika och insprängda i den svenska vildmarken med sin rofull tystnad, vilda djur och skön natur. Den unika designen av rummen/stugorna kombineras bra med enkel och rustik finish för att ge viss kojkänsla i vildmarken och att det inte skall upplevas artificiellt.

Et fantastisk personale som gjør oppholdet til en glede. Nydelig mat basert på lokale råvarer . Vi bodde på the mirrorcube og hadde en flott og annerledes opplevelse. Dette må oppleves!

Häftig upplevelse och god mat

Prepare to be bedazzled... We were warmly greeted by Maja in the Guest house who explained the basics about our stay. Walking up the pathway towards our room, we met Kent, the owner, clearing snow from the path. Entering the birch forest was magical as the daylight gently filtered through the trees. The first tree house we came upon was the Cabin, more beautiful than imagined. It was sheer delight as he stumbled upon all these magnificent feet of architecture. The Mirrorcube, our final destination, was camouflaged by the forest reflections and surpassed all of our expectations. The cube’s minimalistic interior was exquisitely designed to maximize the efficiency of space. Be aware of young aliens descending from the UFO next door wanting to see how the locals live inside the invisible cube! Sebastian, the chef, is an incredible asset to the Tree Hotel. His arctic char main course was outstanding from the remarkable presentation to delectable taste. He was diligent in making sure my unusual allergies were not present in any ingredients and made creative alternatives as needed, while remaining true to his fresh and locally designed menu. His professionalism was greatly appreciated. Be sure to book the Tree Sauna 2.5 hours before dinner. It is an unique private relaxing experience that we would highly recommend to all. We look forward to our return to the Tree Hotel in the Land of the Midnight Sun!

Transport to and from the hotel was quite expensive so we ended up renting a car. We stayed in the Mirrorcube and both the sunset and sunrise could be seen from our window in, which was absolutely stunning with a view over the treetops. Only disappointment was the dinner, we paid extra to have a two course dinner and it didn’t quite live up to our expectations. The portions were quite small as well. We greatly enjoyed taking photos of the outside of each of the buildings as they really are marvelous. If you have the money, as it can be quite pricey, I would recommend a night here for the atmosphere.

Vi hade en toppenvistelse! Riktigt coolt ställe och bra middag :)
