The whole experience is unique. We came by motorbike at the deck and the experience began on a canoe taking us around the bay to the hotel. Then the people helped you to bring your luggage up because walking with no bags on the first day was already intense for me. But then when you get there, two beautiful ladies with great smiles offer us two glasses of lemon juice, the best juice you can get. The room has the best view of the bay and sunset. Each room has a private balcony with a big comfortable sofa you can lie there the whole day. The room is beautiful and simple but amazed you with every details. The mosquito nest has a fan inside that surprise me. The staffs are all very nice and caring and smiling. The garden is beautiful and the food is delicious. We could stay here again and again.

Al faro was beyond our expectations, the room was spacious with huge balcony overlooking the sea. I loved the minimalism design and each corner here is Instagram-worthy . This resort is perfect for honeymooners and maybe couples who are looking for serenity. I was with friends and that's why I and my friend requested for twin beds. We really loved this place, despite the bugs in our bedroom and heat at night. The only thing that bothered me during our 2 nights stay was that we were not able to enjoy the infinity pool because Al faro accept walk-ins who actually stay in the infinity pool for hours and hours until the sunset was gone, so there was no pool side bed available for us. Walk-ins occupied the pool side beds and pool area, we were a bit sad about this because we actually took only a half day tour so that we could spend more time in the infinity pool and since this was their only amenity and nothing else to do in a private island, we felt like the walk-ins were more priorities than the actual guests. Luckily the next day before our check-out, we were able to take pictures in the infinity pool (without the sunset unfortunately). I hope they reserve spots for actual guests and limit the time for swimming pool use for walk-ins, after all guests decide to stay here because of the infinity view, despite it being far away from Coron town and the struggle of going up and down the resort. If it weren't for this walk-ins experience, everything would have been a perfect Birthday getaway for me and I would still come back here but hopefully this time without too many walk-ins. :)
