I chose to stay at The Golden Pebble for its location and price. On checkin I was very pleasantly surprised that the price did not reflect the excellent accommodation, fantastic value for money, and a great onsite restaurant.

The room was large and comfortable and considering it's position on a main road, very quiet. We would suggest that if there are rooms available with a shower only, not a full sided bath with a shower overhead that this be offered... especially for elderly customers. The staff very polite and helpful, after initial confusion over the booking.

Property was easy to check in and the front desk gentleman was very kind. The property itself is in need of upgrades. Carpets are worn. Elevator needs a spruce up. The room environmentally was dark, the temperature was comfortable and was very quiet despite being on a busy street. We didn't drive but there appeared to be adequate parking in the underground garage. The property felt safe. The housekeeping needs supervison. Room windows needed attention, tub had hair. Smoking is allowed on the balcony but obvious that the room had been smoked in. The sink was cracked. The pluses -there is a refrigerator, iron, hair dryer and cable tv. The free wifi worked well for streaming. However, there is no USB plugs. For the price about $110 aus a night it was fine given our preference to be located near our family. There are not many properties in the area.

Staff were very courteous, door key didn’t work first day but they must have spotted me on camera and were up to assist before I got to lift. Did notice mould around edge of sink. No microwave but managed. Room & bathroom spacious ✅ Room a little noisy with traffic.
