Doors unlock and no communication to guest if there room was taken

I have stayed here before, I’m 19. Their site says 18+ and I have never had a problem staying here. I was told i couldn’t check in and that i have to contact expedia for a refund. I never stayed here and the hotel manager declined my refund. This is completely unfair when they say check in is 18+

Smells like dogs everywhere

I rated everything as terrible because when I got to the motel,even though I had a reservation through Hotels.com there was no room. I even wasted money on trip insurance that I'll never see again. I was prepared top spend a certain amount on a room and the one I ended up getting was almost double. I can't rated what I didn't see.

I mean, it’s Motel 6 not the Ritz Carlton you get what you get. Staff was amazing. Manager is great!

we got there and no sheets beds were still dirty from past guests and they had no other rooms so we could not stay

I made the reservation, and when I arrived at the property, the attendant simply told me there was no room available for me. She didn't even try to resolve my issue. She said it was my problem and I should contact Hoteis.com. To make matters worse, she was very rude and turned her back and went to a room where I saw her with the light off, fiddling with her cell phone, pretending she didn't even see me. When I contacted Hoteis.com, the attendant said she would call the hotel. The phone rang several times, and she didn't answer. Luckily, I couldn't find another hotel nearby, otherwise I would have had to sleep on the street. Therefore, never, under any circumstances, book at this location. I'm a Gold member and have stayed at Hotels.com over 100 times in dozens of countries. This was the worst hotel experience of my life.

Has 2 gas stations a couple restaurants

Could've been cleaner. Room didn't look like it had been swept but the staff was nice and helped alot. The people was friendly. Culvers is delicious which was right next door. Cracker barrel is within walking distance. 2 gas stations right next door.

Cancelled when I came

Ok, this hotel was booked for a bed and a shower for the night after we were at Carowinds amusement park. The price was a big selling point. My biggest issue is we booked for 2 nights but wanted to leave after the first night. The lady at the front desk said it's not an issue, to just check out after the 1st night and you will get credited for the 2nd night. After we left, I was notified that the hotel denied the refund. The place is a little run down; there are many vehicles in the parking lot that have been there for a long time with flat tires. No one was at the front desk when we came to check in and I waited about 5 minutes only to be greeted from someone that walked in the same front door as I.

No housekeeping once in our 2 week stay. Refused to give me clean towels or bedding the whole stay. The tv and mini fridge were both broken, Water was shut off twice , the first time was a full day and night. The second time was a whole day and half the night. The whole building smells like dog pee. Dog poop is all over the place outside.

the staff was extremely friendly! the sink and toilet were broken, but other than that it was a great stay!

I did a reservation for 2 non smoking rooms. On check in the attendant did tell us we couldn't stay in the same floor since evertthing was full. Room 1: 3rd floor dirtyyyy floors, washroom had burnt marks all over, the people next us had a party and their smoke was coming into the room. at 11pm I couldnt take it anymore and left to go to room 2. I notified front desk about the mishap. Room 2: 1st floor, dirty, filthy, shower was broken!!!! at least it didnt smell and was quite so I was able to get a little rest but had to share my bed with my niece. Front desk: very polite and understood the situation and reimbursed.

After reserving room they didn't have one available so lost my money on a vacation trip

Very gross smells like cat pee

Walked in, people waiting one was canceling, place didn’t look like in the photos, was dirty, owner smoking, then found out my ACCESSIBLE ROOM wasn’t available. I use a wheelchair so I cancelled and the owner asked me what the difference was? The room is no refundable so I learned my lesson. I’d like my money back!

No linens available at check-in. Was told to come back in 30 mins while they waited for linens. 30 mins later staff called & said they needed to cancel reservation. Got them to book non-smoking room instead. Room was very filthy, nasty. Needed to be updated. Still no blanket on bed. Front desk gave me a blanket with large holes in it big enough for 12 yr old to put feet thru😡

Booked 6 weeks in advance just to be told no vacancy. That’s how you do business?
