Primer hotel de merida!!! En su tiempo no hay duda que fue un súper hotelazo para la opulencia. Limpio y muy bien ubicado, hay un Starbucks y una de nieves en la entrada. Si no vas a pase mucho tiempo en el hotel está perfecto, pero si llueve y tienes que estar en el cuarto no hay mucho en la TV. La cama a mi gusto un poco dura.

Todo muy lindo, bien mantenido, viejito pero acogedor. Solo si hay algo de ruido, pero soportable. La ubicación no pudo haber sido mejor

Overall the stay was great with A/C and amenities. However, only negative piece was that more maintenance is needed in my particular room. There was a loose tile and the bathroom door did not have a lock (expected as it is a colinial era house)

El edificio en sí es precioso, lleno de antigüedades. Sí se siente exactamente como un viaje en el tiempo. Las habitaciones son amplias, limpias y tienen una ventilación adecuada. Puedes llegar a sentir un olor a "viejo" pero nada desagradable.

Muy buena ubicación, tradición e historia. TIenen toque de queda de 00:00 a 06:00 hrs. La ambientación del lugar habla de pasados tiempos de gloria, pero hay detalles que podrían aportar a la experiencia en pequeña y gran escala: botella de agua, citronella para los mosquitos hasta elevador o escalera eléctrica aunque los bell boys son muy amables, no así los recepcionistas, los dos que me tocaron con una expresión seria y distante, cero calidez. Exelente lugar para buenas fotos.

Clean and beautiful hotel in central Merida, right by the main plaza and the market. It is in an old building but the staff do a great job of maintaining it and it has a lot of charm. I appreciated the consistent hot water and that the area is quiet even though it is near the main square. I would stay here again. It could only be better if it had a pool and/or jacuzzi.

This is a grand, historic hotel that has been kept in its original rustically-ornate format. For its day it would have been 5 stars and very ornate. If you like history that has been well-maintained in an original fashion, you'll love this property.

Excellent location in the heart of Merida, on a small park and one block from the Plaza Grande. Easy walking distance to many sights and restaurants. Old school vibe, and showing some wear which you may find charming or run-down. Quirky arrangement of furniture in a 2-bed room with pullout sofa. Bed was very comfortable. The internet was spotty and slow, could not complete a zoom call and had to burn all my data on a hotspot connection. No elevator that I saw and no pool - if I return to Merida I will definitely look for a hotel with a pool. Starbucks (bleah) and Santa Clara ice cream (great) in the lobby.

This is a beautiful historic hotel but lacks some amenities found in newer hotels. For example, there’s no elevator or swimming pool. Of these items aren’t critical to you then I’d recommend staying at this charming hotel. My only recommendation would be to add filtered water on the ground floor or first floor for guests. The staff were very helpful and accommodating!
