Awesome! This hotel was really close from the sofia airport terminal 1, that's why I choose this hotel. The room was so clean and simple and staffs are so friendly.

The breakfast was not a good experience. The drinks machine was not giving out hot water so no teas were available. There were only 2 slices of bread in the basket, all the jam dispensers were empty and the hot food was cold in the trays

Good hotel near the airport

I stayed at the Ibis Sofia Airport and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The room had a number of maintenance issues. The light fitting was broken, there was no shower gel in the shower, the bathroom corners were dirty, the TV was mounted crooked and leaned to one side, and the room door didn't close properly—you had to lean against it and push hard for it to latch. The TV also has an extremely bright white standby LED that shines directly into the room all night unless you unplug the television. Breakfast was particularly poor. At around 9:40 a.m., despite breakfast still being in service, there was virtually no hot food available. There was no pancake mix, one of the coffee machines was out of order, and all of the jam/condiment dispensers were blocked, meaning you had to remove the bottles just to get anything out. Tables weren't being cleared, giving the dining area an untidy appearance. Breakfast wasn't actually closed until 10:22 a.m., so there was plenty of time remaining for it to have been properly stocked and maintained. The sparkling water function on the water machine was also not working. The staff at check-in were not particularly welcoming. They were just about acceptable, but certainly not engaging. Finally, the car park is very uneven and poorly surfaced, making it awkward to drive and walk on. Overall, this stay left a very poor impression of the Ibis brand.

The hotel should be more efficient around their shuttle service to the terminals. They should allow the guests to pre-book their rides on the shuttle transfers for their upcoming flights away from Sofia so the coordination of the logistics could be improved. We were denied shuttle transfer to the terminal due to the lack of space and not allowing us to pre book in advance. Another, observation is that practically there is not a normal walkable path with baggage to walk to the closer Terminal 1 which is about 900m away.

My last night in Sofia and I wanted to stick close to the airport. The ibis is usually a good choice and so it was here. The room was large enough and comfortable. The bed was great. Temperature great. The bathroom was very good and I enjoyed the sparkling water dispenser in the hall. Breakfast was outstanding despite no maple syrup.

Location and free parking were great. Cleanliness of the room was great. The hotel restaurant food was terrible.

The free airport shuttle pick up and drop off was very professional. Once you land, you can call them on WhatsApp and they’d arrive in 15 minutes

Nice hotel and close to the airport!!

The hotel is close to Sofia Airport and provides a shuttle every 20 minutes. If you have an early-morning flight from Sofia, this is the hotel. The rooms are basic, with no complimentary water bottles or tea. But I was given a breakfast bag for my 7 am flight. You can have dinner on the property, order a cappuccino or other drinks, and pay in cash or with any international credit card.
