The hotel is beautifully decorated with Mayan textiles and the room we stayed in had a fill size window facing the garden. The stuff were very very friendly and helpful. Although some of them did not speak excellent english and my spanish was terrible, they came up with answers to all our inquiries. Thank you especially to David! We enjoyed staying at the hotel Nd st. cris very much.

This is a fine hotel, but you can do much better for your money in San Cristobal. The rooms are carpeted (strange for this part of the world), and this contributes to a general stuffy/musty feeling. I was first given a room with a window that only opened into the inner courtyard, meaning I couldn’t have fresh air and privacy. After some difficulty, I managed to move to a 2nd floor room, which was better — but this place is located across the street from a bar with loud karaoke. Staff were generally helpful and the place was clean, but at this price point I wouldn’t recommend it. The “included” continental breakfast is just toast and coffee.

Perfect location. Bed was not very comfortable. We didn't try the breakfast. The sink in our bedroom had a crack. The common areas in the hotel are very nice. Hot water in the morning was not very hot
