I usually aim to leave balanced reviews, but our experience at this hotel was quite disappointing. We didn’t receive self check-in information until we contacted the property on the day of arrival, which caused unnecessary stress. Once there, the front door passcode didn’t work — not just for us, but for several other guests who were stuck outside in freezing weather during a Reykjavik snowstorm. It's advertised as self-check-in, but it should't be called "Self-Check-in" Hotel if the codes don’t function properly. The room we were initially assigned also had no working heating, which was hard to accept in such extreme weather. When I called the help desk, I was told to wait until the next day. After informing them that I was traveling with an elderly, we offered a different room. Unfortunately, the heating in the second room failed the next day, and the help desk was unhelpful. Lastly, the listing says there is free parking, which is true — but spaces are extremely limited, so don’t count on availability. Also, if you are not fluent in English, navigating issues here could be challenging and potentially frustrating, as communication might become an additional barrier. On a positive note, I do want to acknowledge that the customer service team, when reached, was generally helpful and supportive. I truly appreciate that, but I would prefer not to be in a situation where I need to contact the team in the first place.

Our room is clean.

The hotel was clean and easy to find, spacious enough for our party of three. Unfortunately the pull out bed was not set up when we arrived and after a long day of travel we had to figure out the bed, do our own sheets and find towels. It was not optimal. The bathrooms look very nice but the shower is impractically small.

Self check in made it quick and efficient. They sent messages with clear instructions. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and good black out curtains. Have to pay for street parking. Good location as well. Would stay again! Thank you!

Check in and out was super easy. The room was good sized for our family of 4. The shower was clean with good pressure but the drain was a bit smelly. The coffee service in room including a refrigerator was nice.

Virtual staff were relatively helpful. Room was very clean but minimal. Overall solid property. They did allow for an early check in which was nice and the luggage storage was secure.

The price was good and the location was great. Check-in is virtual so that can present challenges. Double check you receive check-in instructions before you arrive. Overall a good experience.

Was just so easy. The perfect groom for a quick hotel stay

We were happy with the location, being in close walking distance to the center of the city. It was easy to get with the code sent to us in adcance to access to the building and clear instructions. Our suite was clean and well furnished.

Everything was good except for the shower that had a big ledge to get into and no bars to hold on to. A definite safety issue

Lidt upersonligt hotel beliggende i et industriaffald kvarter lidt uden for centrum. Upersonligt men flexsibel med digital betjenende. Bærer præg af at der skal tjenes nogle penge med få midler, hvilket er fair. Meget stejl trappe foran hotellet og lydt på værelserne, men pænt nok

Perfect room to stay in! Very clean and close to many places. Only down side is if you're renting a car there's no parking but it's very close to parking options

No refund after Iceland Air pilot strike, out 500$.

They don't have a reception desk, which is fine, but the access codes for both the front door and the luggage room didn't work. Every time I needed to enter the building, I had to call them and provide my reservation number, name, and length of stay. I contacted them twice by email requesting new codes, but the issue was never resolved. The room was not cleaned during my stay, and the towels were never changed.

Self checkin made impossible to learn about the vicinity near the hotels. Was not helpful for tourists.

Nice and clean rooms and easy self check in with onsite breakfast available. Only inconvenience I thought was unloading and loading luggage and pickup , drop offs were very tough due to hotel been in busy street.

I really enjoyed my stay. This is a self check in hotel and first off we arrived very early at 9:00am and check in isn't until 3pm. There is no desk service but there is a lobby phone for customer service and I called to ask about a possible early check in and they released our room right away! The room is quite large for European standards, with a very nice bathroom with a waterfall shower. And it is walking distance to the downtown tourist area, a grocery store, a coffee shop and the ocean front walkway. I would 100% stay again and I also found it to be less pricey than other hotels. My only complaint would be there is no daily housekeeping so we had to find housekeeping to ask for more toilet paper. But everything else was great!

Har ingen parkering!! Vilket det står på bokningssajterna, till&med att "parkering ingår", stod det. Var lite därför jag valde detta, så man skulle slippa leta parkering. Så det var en stor besvikelse. Fint för övrigt, lätt in och ut-checkning. Frukosten var väl inte värd det, enligt mig. Utsikten var heller inget vidare, mot innergården med bara massa väggar å fönster. Fast det bryr jag mig mindre om. Inte många Tv-kanaler som fungerade, hade hoppats på Netflix. Bra att där fanns en resturang i byggnaden, synd bara att den var i dyraste laget, men fantastiskt god mat!! Rätt så lyhört, inget som störde mig dock, men kunde höra grannens telefon när den vibrerade 😅(hoppas iaf på att det var den som jag hörde) 🙄 Helt OK boende 👍
