I usually aim to leave balanced reviews, but our experience at this hotel was quite disappointing. We didn’t receive self check-in information until we contacted the property on the day of arrival, which caused unnecessary stress. Once there, the front door passcode didn’t work — not just for us, but for several other guests who were stuck outside in freezing weather during a Reykjavik snowstorm. It's advertised as self-check-in, but it should't be called "Self-Check-in" Hotel if the codes don’t function properly. The room we were initially assigned also had no working heating, which was hard to accept in such extreme weather. When I called the help desk, I was told to wait until the next day. After informing them that I was traveling with an elderly, we offered a different room. Unfortunately, the heating in the second room failed the next day, and the help desk was unhelpful. Lastly, the listing says there is free parking, which is true — but spaces are extremely limited, so don’t count on availability. Also, if you are not fluent in English, navigating issues here could be challenging and potentially frustrating, as communication might become an additional barrier. On a positive note, I do want to acknowledge that the customer service team, when reached, was generally helpful and supportive. I truly appreciate that, but I would prefer not to be in a situation where I need to contact the team in the first place.

Decent enough room close to town centre. Everything was fine, it was we'd just come from a deluxe family room elsewhere, and it just wasn't as good, despite it doing the job for us.

Everything was great except that there is no reception (check in is sent to your email) and the hotel is 30 mins walking distance from the city centre

Spacious and clean room. A bit far from the center but free parking in the area which is good. This is a good enough hotel I would say, but I wouldn’t book it again as I would want to be closer to the center and I prefer 24 hour open reception.

Very worth it for its price. Also an easy pick-up location for flybus or tour bus.

Breakfast was good, we felt safe. The parking was terrible and unclear with where to park.

Although there aren’t staff present other than housekeeping, the team were very helpful with providing information and also allowing early check-in. The rooms were very clean and spacious, provided hairdryer, toiletries, mini fridge - this was essential for us. Great location - walking distance from the city centre. Would definitely stay here again. Personal preference - would like the option of additional pillows in the room

Okay hotel med moderne, rene og pæne værelser. Hotellet er meget lydt, og mens jeg boede på hotellet var der en del unge mennesker afsted på studietur med klassen. Det gav en del støj i de sene aftentimer og nattetimer. Morgenmaden er absolut ikke værd at bruge penge på. Billederne fra hjemmesiden stemmer ikke overens med det der præsenteres på buffeten. Kedeligt, tørt og alt er præfabrikeret. Der ligger flere lækre bagerbutikker i nærheden som er mere inspirerende at gå til om morgenen.

The hotel itself was very nice and cozy, the rooms were clean and comfortable. However, the “free parking” is misleading. It is actually street parking nearby, most of which is paid, some of it is free. However it is not clearly marked, some of it is a couple of blocks away, and most of it is full. We came after a long red eye flight and long day with no sleep and had to circle the block for 20 minutes to find parking until we decided to risk it at an unmarked spot. Thankfully it was safe parking and our rental car was still there. I would warn anyone who is booking this location for the “free parking” that it’s not on the premises.

Alles bestens... gut... die Aussicht ist nicht die beste, aber man ist ja nur zum schlafen da ;)) Self Checkin problemlos. Frühstück normal, alles da.

The Hotel is wonderful. I prefer a more quiet place to stay when I travel, so I look for a bed further away from downtowns and the hustle and bustle. Since Reykjavik is easy to walk or use the city bus, I had access to everything I needed. I didn't have a car, so I can't comment on parking. The self check-in was simple and straightforward. My room was comfy and clean. The private bathroom was awesome. There are plenty of food spots and groceries nearby, as well as some stores.

Kamer en badkamer waren schoon, bedden prima! Zelf inchecken heel makkelijk maar doordat er geen personeel is kan er bij calamiteiten ‘s nachts niemand bereikt worden. Ten eerste heel de nacht schreeuwende mensen op de verdiepingen die over de gangen rende. Ten tweede ging om 04:00 u het brandalarm af! Iedereen in pyjama (bij -6) naar buiten en het duurde ruim een half uur voor security langs kwam om eea op te lossen gezien er (gelukkig) geen brand was maar stoom op een van de kamers waardoor hij af ging.

Hotel praticamente "autogestito": non c'è una reception. La procedura ei check-in e check-out è tutta automatizzata (tramite codice di accesso alla struttura e alla camera). Unico personale presente è quello addetto alle pulizie e alla colazione al mattino. L'hotel è moderno, ben tenuto e illuminato. Le stanze sono spaziose, comode, accoglienti, calde e pulite.la zona in cui è collocato è molto vicina al centro, ma non un granché in termini di parcheggio e anche come ambiente.

Bathroom was too small. The tv turned on but I had no access to regular tv channels. The only option was to log onto youtube or the accuweather app. Shortly after arriving from a long day of travel, I got in bed to rest and was abruptly woken up by a test fire alarm. Customer service was prompt when I did reach out and they were very polite.
