We were told the room was not ready at check in, then told there was a mistake and it was. Went to the room with luggage and found furniture scattered around the room, no bedding, nothing cleaned and apparently hadn't been used for awhile. Was given another room after two visits to the front desk. The room we were given was in need of repairs and updating. Missing blow dryer, towel rack coming off the wall, carpeting very dated and stained, and there were areas on the walls that needed repairs. Bobby pin on the sink top left question as to how well the room was cleaned. Very disapointed with the stay here as it was a special occasion and I didn't expect these kinds of problems or room conditions for the price. Front desk staff, lobby, building exterior, and breakfast were nice enough but just not the quality stay I had expected.

The room was okay, two things I wasn’t impressed with, our room had a sliding glass door that was very dirty could not see the view of the lake through it, and the other was the toilet was very low to the floor if I was any older I would not have been able to get up and down from it easily.

BRIGHT porch light made sleeping almost impossible! Curtains have major gap on both ends and porch light lit up entire room! No light switch to turn it off outside or inside my unit. Put the bedspread up as best I could to cover one partial section but only on one side

The staff was kind & friendly. The breakfast was more than we expected with great choices. The little extras offered were wonderful! Though we didnt use it the Limo service is a fantastic addition !!!!!

My fiance was called up to petoskey to assist in power line clearance after the ice storm. My children and I came up to visit on the weekend and it was incredible. The pool was fantastic and we all loved it! (The hot tub was great too)!! The room was spacious and clean, and with a beautiful view of the water. Room was well lit and comfortable! Hotel was quiet and pleasant. This is one of my best experiences even considering the circumstances and we’ve already discussed coming to stay again. For fun this time!

They didn't charge me for extra stuff which has been a issue at some hotels.

This was a very uncomfortable stay, especially for the price. The balcony has ridiculously bright lights on all night that can’t be turned off, and the curtains aren’t large enough to keep the room dark. Staff just said they knew and there was nothing they could do. The thermostat didn’t work in the heater, so the first night was sweltering. Second night we realized we had to crank it below 60 degrees to get the actual temperature below 70. Soundproofing is poor, so it was also fairly loud (we had the room next to the elevator). The bathroom was so small we could barely fit around the door to get to the shower. The bed was comfortable, and shower was hot, at least.

Very nice check-in staff. Spacious, clean comfortable room and beds. Wonderful swimming pool and hot tub. Close to historical downtown. A great breakfast that is available early at 6:30 for us early risers. Coffee in room and available 24/7 in lobby. We love staying at Apple Tree Inn when we visit Petoskey .

Was put in a handicap room, did not request. The shower handle was so loose it almost came off. The shower diverter valve barely transferred any water to the shower hand held unit. No shower head. Absolutely terrible. An electric outlet, cover was broken, outlet was extremely loose posing an electrical safety hazard. The sink stopper needs adjustment, water was slow draining. Had stayed at this resort before, in a different room and it was better. This latest experience, no I would not recommend this place unless some much needed maintenance is done. Final note, the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating.

Very dirty bathtub and toilet, the whole bathroom so outdated

Checkin was fast a pleasant. Our room was very clean and nice. Every area that we say was very clean and tidey. Seating for breakfest was clean and well laid out. Lots of choices for breakfest as well. Would definitly recomend to stay here. Also very close to all shoping as well as downtown.

We only stayed for the night but the room was spacious, with one queen bed in its own room with a door and then 2 more queen beds in another room. We would stay there again!
