The staff at this motel are to be treasured! They go out of their way to greet you, make you welcome, helping in anyway that they can! They were outstanding! I think they were a bit, overwhelmed at being full for this special event in Alamosa. They didn’t have nearly enough people to cover all the rooms and service them as is usual.

Not sure if the sink had been cleaned? Was gritty, could have been leftover cleaner or dirt? No trash cans in the room, only one small bar of hand soap. Dispensers in the shower were empty. First room we were given had an unmade bed. Upside was staff was very friendly and place was dog friendly, seemed like almost everyone staying there had a dog. Don’t expect anything fancy when traveling with my dog but do expect the basics, a clean room with soap and a least one trash can.

The only access to the amenities (pool, breakfast etc. is to go outdoors. So unless you’re a fan of returning to your room wet in the winter weather I wouldn’t recommend this place. Lots of traffic noise. Updates are poor quality. This property keeps trying to contact me. We left nothing behind. We got a receipt at checkout. So don’t see a reason for them to be contacting me. I’m not going to open an attachment from them or return a call from someone whose accent is hard to understand in person much less on the phone.

The staff kept coming into our room or trying to open the door. We slept with chairs pushed against the doors. Multiple other people had the same experience. The school police came and evacuated all the students.

Avoid at all costs. Creepy maintenance man breaking into girls rooms and vandalizing vehicles (multiple tires slashed). The noise buffer was horrible, could hear everything outside my room. Very unsafe location & vibe, next to abandoned buildings & trash strewn everywhere. Will announce your room number out loud upon check in, very unsafe. Room TV didn’t really work. Wifi was atrocious (less than 1 mbps and when I complained about this since they advertised high speed internet access, they had no idea what MBPS even meant…) Pool under maintenance and extremely dirty. Would not stay here for free. Choose ANYWHERE else.

Best Western should Not be the name Of this property. Place looks like a roadside super 8 motel where there’s extortion happening. Completely unsafe for a young woman traveling alone. Not to mention the employees live in the rooms. Terrible. Terrible. Drive the other way.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Cleanest lobby and room I have seen on our travels.

Easy check in and very friendly. Has not refunded our deposit. We were told we would have it in a few hours and it has been over 9 hours. I have called 3 times now

Get a room away from the highway

Rooms were clean. Close to highway so you could hear the traffic however not bad.

Cockroaches and no offer to make right. Charging people $100. to be housed with cockroaches isn't good.

Front reception was nice. We arrived to a room that was not cleaned. We were given a clean room, the downfall the room next to us were very loud foreigners(

Last year when we stayed there it was absolutely amazing this year seems like it's completely 180 couldn't park in front of our room because either it was taken up spots or the other visitors park cricket or whatever there is people walk around the parking lot all hours a night The room service didn't come to our room one time and ask us if we needed anything and we're there for four nights we had to go find them they're vending machines had nothing in them The TV didn't work half the time

Staffs are very accommodating! If I come back again in Colorado, I’ll definitely stay here again. Would also recommend this to my friends especially if they’re visiting Great Sand Dunes.

The lady tahg checked me in was amzing. Very nice. But when i got to my room it wasnt ready. Some guy, im assuming HK was in the next room so i asked him. He states for me to wait in my car until he was done. I then left to get dinner came bk 25 min later and it was still not done. So i went bk to front desk. No one was up there for a good 5 min. When he did show up he was helpful. Went and checked to see what was going on with our room. We finally got to get in our room. It was freezing in there. We found a pill on the floor. There was dog hair In the bathroom. I didnt aay a word as we jusg qanted to swim and have a good time. Went to the swimming area. It was cold in there as well and windows were open that we could not shut. The hot tub was cold and full of bubbles. The kids did enjoy the pool. That was the up side. We rent here a few times a year for the pool and cozy beds. This time was disappointing. We ended up leaving the room after getting out of the pool. Hopefully next time we visit, it will be better
