Excelente lugar, súper recomendable, rústico y no es muy cómodo en el sentido de que te desconecta y pone en contacto con la naturaleza, en cuanto a comodidad me refiero a que hay que tener presente que no en todo el hotel hay wifi y se extraña el aire acondicionado, pero eso ya es más bien el alma del mismo lugar

La struttura é immersa nella vegetazione, curata, organizzata con diversi spazi e ben collegata bene al villaggio vicino. Lodge spartani ma funzionali. Se ci fosse stato bel tempo avremmo certamente utilizzato anche la piscina.

This is my second time in Tortuguero but my first at Mawamba. I’d seen the beautiful grounds before and wanted to experience it in person, This is a nature lovers paradise! The grounds are beautifully maintained with native plants, lots of walking trails which are inviting to so much wildlife including toucans, orenpendula, parrots, macaws, red eyed tree frogs and so much more. Tortuguero National Park is a short walk away and I went there often. But I love the tours that Mawamba offers, kayak tours, birding tours, canal tours and an enjoyable floating restaurant. Rather than hop around all over Costa Rica, I spent nearly a week, and I’m glad I did. The staff is very accommodating, the food is good and the guides area amazingly skilled in the history of the area, the natural heritage and spotting wildlife. I’m very impressed and I will definitely return.

Comfortable lodge, staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of wildlife surrounding the property and a brief walk into Tortuguero town.

This place is awesome. I would definitely recommend to stay here again and I would stay here if I ever come back here.

Estancia ideal. Cabañas inmersas en jardines naturales. No tienen ventanas para que escuches a los animales, pero si mosquitera. Esta muy bien unicado en la misma linea que el pueblo Tortuguero de manera que no tienes que tomar un bote y se va andando por la playa o un sendero paralelo en 15 minutos. Ninguno de estos hoteles tienen aire pero no nos hizo falta con la brisa nocturna.

The room was clean, the bathroom spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a nice pool.

Best hotel of our Costa Rica trip yet. What a special place! The physical space is beautiful. The wildlife on the property and the gardens and general space were exceptional. Loved seeing toucans and monkeys right by our room. Loved walking to the ocean and river and town so easily. Wonderful boat tours of the national park with Steven. He blew us away with his knowledge of the flora and fauna of the area. Great responsiveness to emails and any questions or concerns. Also wonderful night tour with Humberto!

Magnifique hôtel

Wir mussten einen Tag früher abreisen, weil meine Kollegin sich nicht wohlgefühlt hat....ich hab die Rezeption informiert und um Rückerstattung geben. Leider erfolglos. Das finde ich recht unfreundlich.

Hotel muito confortável localizado não muito longe nem muito perto do povoado de Tortuguero, o que faz a experiência de imersão melhor. Quartos bem típicos , espaçosos, com uma rede na varanda para ficar relaxando. Café da manhã e piscina muito bons, um ranario legal. Água potável disponível em dois lugares

El hotel es precioso, las habitaciones (la estándar en nuestro caso) sencillas y algo pequeñas para una familia de 4 miembros pero muy bonitas. El entorno y las zonas comunes muy bonitas. La piscina una maravilla y resulta muy cómodo para visitar el pueblo de Tortuguero a pie sin necesidad de contratar un desplazamiento. Además puedes ver muchos animales sin salir del hotel. El único aspecto a mejorar es el tema de la comida. Solo probamos el almuerzo informal en el bar de la piscina y nos quitó las ganas de probar más. Pedimos unos perritos por 9$ cada uno y era minúsculo, media palma de la mano acompañado de 4 patatas tipo chips de bolsa. Hay mejores alternativas para comer en el pueblo caminando por la playa a 10 minutos.

Es un sitio espectacular. El único inconveniente fue que el último día no había agua caliente.

Excellent stay at Mawamba lodge. Gardens around the ground are great and we saw sloths and Toucans a short walk from our room. Breakfast was great as was the dinner we had at the restaurant. Pool can get quite busy with families and children. Town is only a short walk away or they can provide a river taxi. Also took part in the tours arranged by the hotel which was fantastic with a very knowledgeable tour guide. Would highly recommend it visiting Tortuguero
