편안하게 잘 머물렀습니다. 건물이 너무 커서 짐들고 이동이 힘들었어요 ㅎㅎㅎ

요크역에서 멀다. 캐리어를 끌고 강가를 걸을 때 고생했는데 날씨도 좋고 강가도 예뻐서 좋긴 했다. 주택가 근처에 위치해서 조용한 반면 밤에는 인적이 드물어서 무서울 수도 있다. 시설은 yha 답게 좋은 편이다.

더블룸 묵었는데 깨끗하고 좋았어요. 화장실도 넓고 깨끗하고 직원도 친절했어요. 시설도 크고 호스텔까지 강변따라 걷는 뷰도 좋았어요

Beautiful property and location in quiet area away from York center. Friendly staff.

1. The temperature was 13°C when we arrived. We enquired about the heating and were informed that it would be switched on at 9pm. By 10 pm, the room was still cold, so we returned to reception and were given a small portable heater, as the radiators had been turned off for the summer season. 2. There was visible mould on all of the stainless steel fixtures in the shower. 3. The plants near the entrance to our room were poorly maintained - large number of flies and other insects. 4. WiFi was not available in the rooms and could only be accessed in the restaurant's seating area.

I was somewhat skeptical choosing a hostel to stay at rather than a hotel, the price seemed too good to be true, but alas, the reviews convinced me. I’m so thrilled with my experience here - the staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was wonderful. It was comfortable and spacious, very clean. Will absolutely come again and as such, I highly recommend this establishment to others.

The whole stay was excellent. When we arrived I explained that I suffered from medical problems and the receptionist immediately changed our room to accommodate my needs. Excellent

Very friendly and helpful staff. V homely place. Not the cleanest, but very comfortable and safe.

Lovely location, plenty of free parking. Lots of outdoor seating as well as plenty of tables, chairs and sofas inside. This is a very old building, so the floors squeak and the beds move when people are walking around. Room HO1 has a very squeaky door, which has woken us all up every time someone needs to go out to the toilet. I did mention to staff a spot of WD40 would do it, but it wasn't sorted. The door locks are also electronically locked, meaning they have to be slammed to close, not ideal when everyone else is trying to sleep. The toilets and showers are outside of the room and very small, but I never had to wait. The kitchen is quite small for the number of guests and can get extremley busy on the evening. These are all factual comments, not critisisms, as it's more than sufficient for a hostel. I would book again, I think Windermere set the standard for me! 🙂
