Smart pleasant hotel off York city centre. It took us too long to figure out how to get the room temperature right, but otherwise a perfect stay.

Comfortable hotel, nicely decorated. Bar area was welcoming. In a good location, just a short walk to the busy streets. Very friendly staff.

Lovely boutique hotel, Welcomed upon check-in by staff and guided to the car park. The room was clean and spacious for us. Good amenities had a range of coffee and teas, water and welcome snacks, Bed was comfy and we slept well after our walking around. We had breakfast which i would recommend as there is a large selection to choose from for both continental buffet and hot breakfast cooked to order again a range of drinks included and all staff were welcoming and helpful. The hotel itself is a short 5 minute walk from the shambles and has restaurants close hard to choose from. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The staff on the welcome desk were very friendly, there was a lady at the bar who seemed to be having a bad day but apart from that it was a great stay, not far from city centre.

Great hotel , nothing but positive from me

Staff was wonderful. Continental breakfast was good, but not many choices. Only 2 kinds of cheese, 2 kinds of muffins etc. Hot breakfast was not worth it for me. Comfortable bed.

Our stay didn’t get off to a good start, when we checked in and entered our room there was already luggage in for a different guest! The room phone didn’t work and when I returned to reception, although the receptionist was pleasant they didn’t apologise and gave us a different room with a smaller bed! Apart from the above the hotel staff where very helpful and as always the hotel was very clean.

Great location with lots of cafes and shops right on the doorstep. Staff in hotel and restaurant very friendly and helpful. Bed very comfortable, quiet area and not much traffic around. Excellent gem of a hotel.

Friendly and efficient check-in. Our room wasn’t ready, but we were able to leave our luggage whilst we walked around York. When we returned, our luggage had been taken to our room. Room was very nice.

Great location, short walk to the city centre. Lovely hotel with nicely presented rooms. Shower head could do with a de-scale so that the jets all pointed in the same direction but other than that the hotel has all the bits we needed for our weekend getaway.

A very welcoming hotel with lots of nice touches in the decor. The staff are friendly and helpful. Great quality breakfast with a choice of coffees. We found the location convenient for all the places we wanted to visit, including sections of the walls. Plenty of places to eat nearby.

Great service, clean room and comfortable stay. Bar staff was gracious enough to gift us a complementary bottle of Prosecco after our engagement that day. Made our stay!

Lovely hotel, very central for visiting York you can park up then access everywhere on foot. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast sets you up for the day. Would definitely recommend, which it was to us and would use again if returned to York.

Second stay at this hotel as we love the central location and excellent breakfast which is very good value. The staff are friendly and we had a lovely weekend in York

When we arrived the accessibility of the hotel was great. The hotel was absolutely spotless and had everything you would need for a perfect stay. We had a luxury room and honestly could not fault it. The only change i would make is to include breakfast with the option to opt out rather than opt in.

Room was very clean. All the extras I asked the staff to include with the room for my partners birthday was included and the shower and bathroom were amazing. Lovely decorated room and very comfortable bed. Next time I'm in York, me and my partner will be staying here.
