It’s a very beautiful place, but not done there is construction going on and it’s very loud. Only three restaurants not much to do with kids. The drive is one hour away from the airport without traffic. In my opinion this place is good for couples only.

We loved this property location. It is VERY safe and convenient for a relaxing vacation. We traveled with another couple, who booked a different room on the property and had included the beach club ($30/person) and daily maid service, for the same price. We did not realize that was an option when booking so would suggest reaching out about that.

The view from my room was beautiful! The room was perfect for a couple. I would give it a five stars rating if the bathroom didn’t smell like mold. I told the front desk; they said they would look into it; but nothing was done. In addition, the TV didn’t work on the third day that we were there. They could not fix it 😕 The construction noise started from 07am to 10 pm. There was only one road to get in and out of town. It was very very bumpy! Food was expensive at Las Catalinas and Tamarindo. But people were very kind and super friendly.

The location was beautiful and had its own little restaurants, spa and groceries, but all were pretty expensive.

El servicio, el sitio, la habitación, la limpieza... absolutamente todo fue perfecto. No podemos esperar más para regresar. Se lo recomendamos a todo el mundo.

It is a perfect stay from the moment you get in throughout all the stay is simply perfection at its best!

The property was prestine with kind and helpful staff

El lugar es muy bonito en sus alrededores, sentimos que la habitación no está adecuadamente equipada para cocinar (a los sartenes se les pega la comida, no hay escurridor de platos, solo hay un limpión para secar platos para toda la estadia). Algunas veces para lograr que se nos atendiera de forma adecuada al whatsapp de las catalinas teniamos que enviar varios mensajes a diferentes momentos para que se ejecutara la petición. En general, fue una buena experiencia, solo esos dos detalles que cambiaria

Beautiful place, familiar ambiance, pool, beautiful beach, the view, sometimes it didn’t felt like Costa Rica and people is nice.

this property was extremely dirty and neglected we would rent again in this community but not this property very disappointing especially given the expensive rate

Place was great, but the pool was under construction.. great for adults, a little lacking for the kids

Muy linda y en buen estado

The specific unit we stayed in was really nice and spacious with a great view of the ocean. So was the overall complex. However, the owner can pay more attention to details such as the condition of the appliances (dishwasher wasn’t operational) and basic amenities such as a roll of paper towel or a box of Kleenex that rental apartments typically have.

Las Catalinas could be lovely. But there is so much construction going on at all hours that it is far from peaceful and almost impossible to sleep. The presence of the construction and the car free requirements (you must valet your car) make it very hard to get in and out of the community (30 minutes at a time to pickup the car unless you tip lavishly), making you hostage to eating at only their very expensive restaurants during your stay. The accommodations themselves are otherwise quite nice, and the beach is lovely too. But they need to deal with the gridlock and the construction noise.
