We had a lovely few days stay last Bank Holiday, it is a charming pub with great staff, nothing is too much for them, very friendly and breakfast was Best! Delicious! My only suggestion would be to have at least brewed coffee! Beautiful place and very calm even though there is open bar downstairs.

Hotel was a little old fashioned, but we enjoyed our stay, it was handy for our visit to the Dorset coast and friends, staff were friendly and accommodating, food was good, plenty of parking

Very welcoming cozy country pub. Tasty breakfast included - eggs done really well. Gluten free options. Just the base we needed for a weekend walking on the coast nearby

even though i was staying above a very busy pub i could not hear anything once in my room. the food was well cooked and speedy.

Great home from home breakfast was a bit overcooked but would happily recommend and will be staying again in the future

The host is very friendly, polite

Great food, excellent bar. V comfy room, very clean and well appointed. Excellent Car Park. Staff were brilliant. I picked this for closeness to our client's premises and will do so again. A real littel gem of a find. can definitely recommend the Red Lion lager!!

Whole stay was excellent

A lovely small hotel with a lot to offer! The staff was welcoming and attentive, making our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious, with a nice variety of cereals that our kids loved. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and it was great that they provided a dog bed for our pet, which made us feel very welcome

Room was very clean and perfect sized for my family. Only one problem at night , my next door neighbour was so loud when they were talking, even we could hear clearly their conversations. Its not Red Lion's fault. People need to consider others. The host was very very friendly and professional as well. We had supper and breakfast. Both were very good. We enjoyed the food.

Fue un poco diferente a lo esperado, la habitación era minuscula, desde ventana solo veiamos el tejado del bar y teniamos la salida de humos delante. Habia arañas por todas partes, la cama se inclinava hacia el cabezero. Tuvimos que dormir en los pies. De los pies de la cama a la paret habia 10 cm. Con mucha humedad. Es un lugar para nada recomendable. El almuerzo era acceptable.

Staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel offers dairy-free options, which is great. Unfortunately, we arrived shortly after the kitchen closed, so we only had the included breakfast of cereal, toast, and a full English. The room was spacious enough for our family of four with comfortable beds. However, we found the toilet quite noisy and the walls thin, as we could hear our neighbors talking through the night. Overall, a decent place to stay for a short one or two-night stay.

Nice staff,proper homemade food and spotless. Large Parking space for vehicles.Liked it.

The staff were really good - friendly and efficient - and the food was great too. But we were there during a heatwave and our room was very hot. A fan was supplied but it didn’t make much difference and if we left the windows open loads of flies came in so sleeping was a bit uncomfortable. Not much the pub could do I guess. The bed itself was comfy though and the bathroom very clean.
