Lovely room . Hot tub great as well as the swimming lool. Very pleasant and helpful staff

Spa - Greeted with a loud, obnoxious, drunk family who decided the hot tub was for their use only. This did not make for a very relaxing ‘spa’. The atmosphere felt intimidating and the staff did not stop serving them drinks until it was already too late. Robes were not provided in the Spa and these have to be taken from your room, through the pub, and into the Spa. This made the Spa experience rather short and uncomfortable for us. When we came back to the Spa/Pub for dinner the drunken family were just leaving and the staff were shaking their heads, but this could have been easily avoided by limiting the drink being served to them in the first place as it was evident they had had far too much even when arrived. Bed - The mattress was very uncomfortable, this was the bare minimum we would have expected from a ‘5 star’ hotel. The springs on the mattress were unbearable. This was a shame because the rest of the room was very clean and almost looked like it had been recently refurbished. The staff were typically very friendly, however, on a whole, it definitely did not feel like a ‘5 star’ experience and we would be unlikely to return.

Hotel and facilities were fantastic and super clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is great for Bowness. Highly recommend

Fantastic hotel and spa with excellent service. Room of a good size and the facilities were excellent. There was one major let down though, the bathroom - to have black mould growing on the grouting around the room is one thing, to have it growing on the shower head and on the tiles themselves along with orange mildew is borderline negligence. The were also cobwebs in two corners and on the light fixture above the mirror. All of this questions just how much effort and checks in place to ensure in basic cleanliness and wiping surfaces down is achieved. It was off-putting to the point it puts into question whether I would return to the hotel despite everything else being very well presented.

Lovely hotel and had a great stay, only downside was that we paid for a hot tub room and was told by other multiple guests that they had only paid for a standard room and been upgraded, I don't think this is fair to guest's who paid full price.

hot tub jets were unable to be repaired. but made use of the spa

the room & service was amazing but hot tub jets were not working on one side of the tub. the bentley car was a nice touch & spa was lovely

This is our favourite hotel in bowness,rooms are really clean,staff are really helpfull,spa is amazing and its only a couple of minutes walk from town centre and lake

We have stayed here a couple of times staff always friendly the walk into Bowness on Windermere is lest than 10 minutes walk where there are pub restaurants and shops. And you can take a boat trip on Windermere itself which i recommend to do we will be stopping there again.

The room was very nice and clean! We were upgraded which was so lovely of the hotel which was another reason for us to want to return. The spa facilities were perfect, made us feel very zen and ready for the day ahead. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice of both hot and cold food and nice that you could just help yourself. Thank you for the perfect stay!

The shower was all black fungus at the corners and plastic trim on shower door was horrible dirty the breakfast was good but cooked breakfast should be cooked on order not on hot plates to be fair for a 5 star for breakfast have had a lot better to be fair and the way it’s set out too small for the size of place and the mount of people having breakfast

The hotel was excellent and staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic as was the room.

Staff were welcoming and mizumi restaurant was perfect.

Spa was a little small if full, but hotel was great, staff fantastic, hotel its self was very clean and restaurants were nice. Picturesque area

I have 2 comments to enhance the stay: 1/ Please instal a shelf inside the shower 2/ It would be helpful to put signs for direction to the lift.

The spa was relaxing however could probably do with more seats. Or loungers for busier periods. Hot tub room was brilliant would recommend it
